Does anyone have details of where the rail replacement buses are operating, and which vehicles are now being used ?
Thanks.

First 36191-36197 from Leeds, some streetdecks from Leicester and numerous local coach companies.
When I've been to Bristol Parkway this week there's been 3 deckers in the rail replacement pool of vehicles most of the time. 2 branded for Leeds, and one Leicester streetdeck. The Leeds deckers were always 36191 and 36194. The Leicester streetdeck on Wednesday was 35192.
On Thursday the side destination blind for one of the Leeds deckers was displaying Severn Tunnel Junction.
Believe theres a batch of six Leeds deckers (36191-36196) there for RR, before transfer to Norwich.
Thought 36197 is also supposed to be coming here. 36191/3 there this evening along with 66325. Coaches from Pulhams, SGBC, Mainline, Avalon, SWT and Applegates
I have a Welsh Concessionary Travel Pass, which allows me to travel on cross border services (as well as everything in Wales).
Does anyone know whether this allows me to use it on the Rail Replacement services between Newport and Bristol Parkway and vice versa, please?
Thank you.
I wouldn't think so as they are counted as Railway services in terms of ticketing. If you do want to travel between Bristol and Newport by bus for free there is the Severn Express Bus service run by First.

3 deckers? Good heavens, are they from the Harry Potter film?

Indeed not, a RRB is a virtual train, not a bus service, legally speaking.
Unfortunately for you, in my experience GWR are usually quite proactive at checking tickets when getting on or off RRBs at main stations such as Bristol Parkway so there is less chance of a free ride.Thank you, I thought that this would be the case, so that's no problem.
The reason I asked is that I travelled on the RRB service between Ebbw Vale and Cardiff on Saturday. When I asked whether I needed a ticket, the driver told me (and others, later), that the service was being given free by ATW.
I didn't try to change his mind!

Shame there's not a Bristol - Newport rover to do the RRB's, bit pricey for me to get a 3 in 7 Severn and Solent ticket just to do the RRB's![]()
What's wrong with tbe Severn Express?
Nothing
But unfortunately I can't red pen vehicles I need or sample some coaches (if SGBC wheels out an old Alizee)
Last time I did a Heart of Wessex for the Bath blockade which was great, didn't need to do the 265 from Trowbridge as Tridents did the RRB, red penned some coaches of the Westbury runs, and did another trident spin to Chippenham.
£20 or so well spent, but not £46 for one day
Are you after buses or coaches?
