i remember 20407 being on the 75! struggled getting out of Cummersdale! a tight corner on its way out! had to go close to a garden wall, reverse, and swing round, narrowly missing cars!

it was probably a Plaxton Panther 15m.
i've never seen the X4/X5 full, but you'll know more than be being a driver.
stagecoach seem to stick to Plaxton, Alexander and Optare these days.
they probably wouldnt get them, but Marcopolo do a 57 seat coach and they have the option of a wheelchair lift too. click here for a PDF of the marcopolo 330.

First post. Thanks for making good use of my Fotopic site and the North West Buses site.

The Stagecoach North West fleetlist is made up from the fleetcard received every month. I tend to just alter it from the list of changes on the card, but periodically I go through the whole thing to make sure everything is accurate. I intend to do this when I receive the one that started last weekend. Vehicles shown in reserve can appear anywhere, sometimes only for a few days, so these are not noted on the list

Anyway, interesting comments

The rear advert on 20547 is something to do with Child care in Lancashire.

Lancaster used to be part of the Express network with the X41 Morecambe Battery-Preston via M6. This service used Dennis Javelin coaches and ran hourly whe introduced but ended it days after Stagecoach Express was disbanded running peak hours only using anything from a 709D to a Leyland Tiger.

Lancaster had a wrecker called Bessy numbered 999, she spent a lot of time in the workshop having a rebuild and then was taken off us and sent to Carlisle. Aparantly its cheaper for Stagecoach to hire in assistance than to keep one on standby in house! I think Preston still has its wrecker though.

Hey Master985 and welcome.

God knows what will get thrown up to Carlisle for X services. Could be anything lol.

I spooted 20131 on the 2a service today. The fact that this is a B10 on a low riding service is annoying enough but then 22817 appeared on the 42 service. What the hell? Had 14235 on D6 this morning and was warmer then last time lol.

Does anyone know when Preston are getting their new Scanias?

Yeah Lancaster use Heysham trucks for breakdown recovery. I remember a Trident been out of action at Lancaster Bus station and a Heysham truck coming in. Took about 2 hours to get the thing out lol.

Oh is that whats the add for. Looking at it i had no idea what it was. 20547 was on layover about half and hour ago at the bus station.

Also does anyone know the exact fate of all Lancasters ex Titans. Where they were scrapped etc. I know 10056 was preserved down south but not sure where the others were sent. Where do we send our buses to be scrapped?

I was dragged from the Pointer to WL late one night behind a Heysham Trucks wrecker (17020 I think it was - destroyed turbo and no oil max speed 15mph before oil ran out!)

It took me a while to work out what 547s advert was for, had to read it carefully when sat behind it in traffic one day :)

Yeah that's not the one i sore. It was at the bus station having just come of (or been taken of) a Preston service. They removed the front panel for towing but then of course has to get it out of the parking bay so the truck could latch on. Tricky business actually.

Surely the whole point of an advert is to be able to read it while your passing not have to stare at it for 10 mins to try and figure out what its for lol.

Oh sorry you were talking about when you were toed lol i thought you wer suggesting the event i observed.

Tridents have their towing points behind the centre section of the bumper and the screenwash flap also has to come off on the older Tridents. There are also connections for the air and electrical systems. The time I was towed, the driver told me to keep the bar straight (not easy when there is no power steering!) and not to touch the brakes because they were being controlled from the wrecker (another weird sensation having your brakes apply when your not touching the pedal!)

17020 does seem to be the least reliable Trident of the original 12, hopefully it will be cured after its altercation with the tipper wagon last year.

Yeah I bet that's weird and it must be so hard to fight the urge to brake lol

17020 was kept at Lancaster because it was mechanically reliable apparently. After its accident it was meant to go for open topping but was kept and 17016 was sent instead.

H115SAO (14255) was running "School [Graphic] Special" both morning and afternoon, which i think was to Frizington and Cleater Moor etc. K759DAO (20759) was at sixth form this morning with "32 ST. BENEDICT'S SCHOOL" on the display, even though 32 was changed to either 33C or 33D in september 2008!
there was a B10m running the 31 (timetabled H'crest/Red Lon at 1401), but didnt see the registration or fleet number.
PO51WLR (47024) was on Moorclose Circular 51, N125YHH (40025) was running Moorclose Circular 50 this afternoon (not sure if it was running 50 this morning or not).
L119HHV (32917) ran the 8am to Seaton, with 709d's running the rest.
S798KRM was running the 0816 X4 to Penrith.
there was a 709d on the annexe at Workington bus station this morning with "BNG Contract" on the blinds. didnt see the full reg (glare off lights in the area), but it looked like N212UHH (40012, which i think is on reserve!)
N213UHH (40013) and another 709d were in the bus station at the seaton and harrington stands.

Can anyone tell me what Coastliner 68 Stock has transferred to Chorley? I've noted atleast One Vehicle on a College working and one on a 125/6 but didn't note if it was the same vehicle all i noted was it was S Reg Alexander Bodied Olympian.

Is this stock transferred in to Cover the Ex 17*** series Buses and the Ex Ribble Oly?

No. Am I correct in thinking that Coastliner vehicles were Solos? In which case, they have been displaced by Optare Versas and moved elsewhere.

In other news, 20451 is back at Lancaster.

Coastliner 68 branded 16669/70 [S903/4JHG] are permanent transfers to Chorley. This released Tridents 17013/4 [S813/4BWC] to Preston, though I understand 17013 has since moved away. It may have gone for open top conversion.
Another vehicle gone for open top conversion is ex Bullocks / Stagecoach Manchester 14853 [L829LNE] a Leyland Olympian / East Lancs vehicle

Oh finishing touches how exiting can't wait to see them out around the Lakes may have to take a special trip up there in the summer.

If 20551 is back in Lan with 20898 be going back?

Also is there a chance 17014 will move again or will it stay in Preston for while?

I daresay 17014 will eventually come back to Lancaster.

20451 is still a flip dot....Chorley appear not to have done anything with it.

I will be in Preston tomorrow, so I will see if it is still about. It's an oddball vehicle and can be used on anything. I've noted it on the X2 Liverpool & X61 Manchester on occasions

Oh yeah I thought its flip dot had been damaged when it had its accident but looking at the picture again i hasn't so it wouldn't have been replaced.

I hope we get 17014 back with the rest of the group shame to split them all up.

Do all Lancasters 2005 Tridents have small CCTV screen in the drivers cab so they can see all the cam footage live as they drive? I know some do but not sure if all do. I know Kendal dont in fact your lucky to get a Trident with CCTV at Kendal.

14235 & SchoolRunner 20712 heading for Caton Rd Tuesday evening around 16:25, I assume they had been on D Dallam school services, 20712 dropped its last passenger off on Skerton Triangle.

UID 18xxx coming out of Poulton heading for Lancaster around 17:25, is this a booked Trident journey?

N201UHH (40001) was heading towards Workington Train Station this morning with a dead display.
PO51 WLR (47024) on Moorclose 51, PO51 WLP (47023) on Moorclose 50.
K768DAO (20768 ) was on X4 at 0815-ish. (i have a poor quality picture of it from the rear)
K752DAO (20752) ran the morning seaton service popular with school pupil's.
N651VSS (40651) ran through the bus station and sat on the annexe this morning.
N206UHH (40006) was going down High Street in Workington, towards the bus station from Lillyhall with "HARRINGTON 46A" on blinds. this was probably to replace N213UHH (40013), which was in Workington Bus Station recieving attention from a fitter, who arrived just before 8:05 in the lillyhall engineering van (W322RHH, 90586). the 709d was refusing to start!
N733LTN (16733) and K765DAO (20765) both on School Specials this morning. 20765 later went on BNG Contract.
PX08FMU (47617) was on Mirehouse 3. i assume PX08FMP (47616) was on Mirehouse 4.
PX08CSU (25225) was on the 31, and i had the pleasure of going home on this from sixth form :-P could do with a tidy up inside! empty cans of Strongbow squashed between seats!
there was a B10m on the 31 this morning, but didnt see reg or number.
P134XCN (20134) ran "dead" into whitehaven, closely followed by an Enviro 300 and 56reg Dart.

20712 may have done D2 as it did in the morning. 14235 had been on the School Special that day.

I'm sure I saw 20752 heading into Lancaster this morning off the Motorway. It was on trade plates, but if you saw it Cainebj, it can't have been. It was definitely Kxxx DAO though, we were behing it at the traffic lights.
