67021 was in Wembley Loco Holding sidings this morning, from what I can tell the other EWS 67s aren't in the vicinity, so suspect that's your 67.

66097 was reported as being on 6W40 Wootton Bassett to Westbury, arriving Westbury Up Yard at 14:09. Not sure of its movements after that or whether feasible it could've been back in Wembley for when you saw it.

However, 66017 was at WEFOC today (and last couple of days) and is DB Red - so maybe that's what you saw? It was repainted a couple of months ago, so is still looking pretty 'shiny' I believe.

yeah it was a shiny new db one thought it couldnt of been 66097 as it has db shenker branding the other 67 there was 67012 in chiltern colours thanks for confirming this

No probs - just seen some updated info and 66017 reported as still at Wembley just after 5pm. Pretty sure that was your loco. (66097 still at Westbury at c.6pm, so definitely not that!)

I'm sure others will pop up to disagree, but the best place will probably be Willesden Junction, that way you can keep an eye on the North London Line workings (including the Clapham - Willesden shorts), and be in a position to overlook the DC lines below in case it pops up on an Euston - Watford service.

For the East London Line, probably one of the stations on the core section to see movements both directions.

Good luck hunting it down, hopefully it will come out for you and not be sitting on the depot all day to come out during the evening peak as I think a couple units do.
