Gwr 143?
Gwr 143?
Damn good Mr Bridge. You may have guessed by now that I was eating my sandwiches next to Crediton station the other day.
Time for one of your confusing photos...
This one is really doing my head in. I just can't think of anything that has a roof like that.
Ok. Purely going on that clue, is it a shot of 390056 'Stockport 170' taken at Stockport station as you were about to take the train from Stockport to somewhere else before you went back to Stockport station later and picked the car up from Stockport station car park and drove home through Stockport?
Surely I've said Stockport! enough to win this?
Well I think I've heard Stockport mentioned enough times to last me a lifetime now!.....but the computer still says No
Right this is dragging on now so I will state that this is not a unit of any type, if that helps?
Maybe.
Is it a 67?
I'm thinking Class 57 from the curved roofline and step/grab handle.
A Class 47?
Is it a 333?
No not yet. There can't be too many options left. I'll try a 56 before I go out?
I don't suppose it's a Class 41 HST Prototype is it?
No it isn't I'm afraid superalbs, but as far as I'm aware it shares the same manufacturer regarding its main alternator & traction motors if that's any help?
.
So I'm looking for a diesel-electric locomotive, that uses Brush motors, and there is another locomotive that also used Brush components, but by the 1970s, they had been replaced.
Is it a 60?
Class 43?
Is it a Class 156?
