Depending how you count stations, that is one productive day
I count them if I board a service or alight from a service. I do not count it if I step onto the platform during a long layover, unless the train changes headcode (so doing Blantyre to Mount Vernon would net you Motherwell as well in my book, but Richmond to Wimbledon would not get you Strawberry Hill).

A productive few days :)

(IIRC I was similar in SPT land where on a weekend I could scope in a lot of stations without a plan, I do miss the thrill of the chase)

(IIRC I was similar in SPT land where on a weekend I could scope in a lot of stations without a plan, I do miss the thrill of the chase)

The only day of my three that I had a plan for was today, down to the service on the lines I was on being a bit patchy.

So, the last batch of new shacks for a while now

Did you make use of the walking between close stations method to grabbing two for the price of one?

No IBM?
I walked between some stations on the same lines, especially at the start of day 2, on the Milngavie and Maryhill lines. I did a couple of connections between lines on foot (Carmyle - Shettleston, Greenock West - Drumfrochar [Not a connection that I would recommend - it's half a mile of steep hill), Cessnock - Dumbreck), but I also put the bus to good use as well (Craigendoran - Cardross, Crookston - Pollockshaws, Neilston - Barrhead, Inverkip - Largs, West Kilbride - Fairlie, Saltcoats - Kilwinning, Maybole - Ayr and Cardonald - Govan)

As for the absence of IBM (plus Branchton and Wemyss Bay) - there was a signalling failure at Port Glasgow while I was on the branch, I decided to prioritise other things and come back later if I had time, which as it turned out, I was running short on in the end

Agreed there, I ended up doing that walk early one Sunday morning in December, where it was a tad chilly & dark.

Bad news on the signal failure at Port Glasgow, but those three stations should be easy enough to do on another trip to Glasgow.

I did that walk in the reverse direction. My walk was boosted considerably by the steep slope downwards. I'm so glad I live in a fairly flat town in comparison and not there or in the Welsh Valleys.

A busy few days for you Mr Roebuck
Indeed. The Scottish bit came as a result of the Northern industrial action, unexpected (albeit very welcome) competence from my employer's payroll department, and a detestation of Fridays in La Rochdelle...:)

I can imagine some of the late night trains back from Manchester being quite lively

I paid a flying visit to La Rochdelle today ;) I forgot how uncomfortable the seats are on a Metrolink tram for going all the way from Victoria to Rochdale via Oldham!

Slightly easier now to do the stations on that line now that the Edinburgh Days Out rover is available :)

Indeed. The peak restrictions are a bit of a git though I'm going to hope that it's merely no departures off Edinburgh and Haymarket 1642-1815 and not no travel at all. They can get stuffed if they think I'm standing around for 93 minutes in a blizzard!
