If the 14:02 now starts from Hexham then that could be either a 142 or a 156, probably an equal chance of both I'd say.

Yeah, I’d say a 156 is always more likely to Whitby these days. Once upon a time the line was almost exclusively worked by 142s. I was hoping someone with access to TRUST might be able to give specific information about which units were being used today.
