As predicted it very much looks like they've (TfW/WG) not been able to help themselves. So after having ramped up expectation when the complaints start rolling in as nothing substantive to going to change anytime soon do we expect them to then hide behind Keolis or front up themselves?
I don't see how they'll be able to hide behind Keolis. As far as passengers are concerned, they are dealing with Transport for Wales and most, if not all passengers, will be completely unaware that it's actually Keolis Amey running the rail service they are using.

I haven't seen any recruitment for a complaints dept @ TfW. Are they responding to the tweets yet?

Interesting in that article it says that Keolis Amey / TfW are going to fix the air con on the 158s, and that the 769s will be in service by May 2019.
I think a lot of luck will be needed to achieve both of those things!

The cure for the 158 air con is long known it just involves £ and having units out of service.

The main TfW twitter account, @transport_wales, is still not responding to the tweets they are putting out. Obviously that will have to change when the rail specific account @tfwrail launches on Sunday.

Surely all the staff working in complaints dept at ATW will automatically just transfer over to KA/TfW rail?

Yes the customer service dept will all transfer. But How will Joe Public who see transport for Wales plastered on everything know it's keolis customer service they need?

That's my point though. Keolis/Amey will be operating as 'TfW Rail services', exactly the same as TfL Rail and London Overground.
Passengers will never hear of Keolis/Amey by name.

Sorry yes the public will vent at TfW Rail services when things go wrong or no real improvements happen for months but TfW themselves will be cocooned from it,

I'll buy the first to spot an excuse along the lines of 'our contractors have failed....' a pint or beverage of their choice!

They could rehabilitate the much quoted phrase form Railtrack days .."we are working closely with our contractors" .......

Changes are afoot at Swansea...

It's ironic what hasn't changed through all these years though!

I'm guessing whoever did the multi-coloured tape job there can't speak Welsh… they forgot to cover off the instance of 'Trenau Arriva Cymru' in the CCTV notice. Cheap as chips work there. It's almost as good as some of the notices on ScotRail units which, several years later, are still missing a little part where the First group logo previously was (cut out of them).

"This station is managed by <nobody>"

The truth hidden in an old sign? ;)
Why not just get a larger bit of tape and blank out the whole line so the sign makes more sense...
Based on the CCTV bit at the bottom I suspect it's actually ATW.

I'm mildly amused by the way the CCTV operator has been blanked out for English readers but is still Arriva for the Welsh readers.
What does the "Operated operation." line in the English section mean?

http://tfw.gov.wales/news-events/ne...ales-almost-here-what-does-it-mean-passengers

A “railmap” of improvements has now been published for customers. “Coming Down the Track” details a raft of transformational improvements by 2025 that include new and improved stations, better services, more carriages, new and completely rebuilt trains, better-value fares, pay-as-you-go travelcards, free Wi-Fi, improved accessibility for those with mobility problems at all stations, and new websites and apps to help passengers stay informed and buy tickets easily.

Has anyone seen this "railmap"? It's apparently been published, but where?
Maybe this press release is a bit premature and this "railmap" will be on the new website next week.

I think anamyd was referring to one of the supposed service operators, that was superseded three years ago, but ATW has changed to TfW even though it hasn't started yet.
Yes, you're right, I think anamyd was. Me, I was too busy being pleased with myself because I'd realised that you can just make out an Arriva logo at the top of the sign and then noticed the incorrectly altered bit at the bottom. ;)

Exactly :) Although GWR is still First really. I'm surprised there are still traces of FGW branding in more places than I'd expect by now, unless they're "expecting" their franchise to be extended...
