Hey guys,

This free family railcard offer has started for this year.

Fill out the form at http://www.familyandfriends-railcard.co.uk/dailymail to receive a free 2-month railcard valid until 11 July 2010.

Offer closes 07/05/2010.

If you regularly buy a family railcard, obtaining this free one will give you a 50% discount code of a full one, so only £13 for an entire year if you decide to buy one.

The 2 month free railcard usually comes in about 3-4 days (1st Class) post.

Happy travelling :)

Been getting my family railcard this way for the past few years. No point in paying full price for it!!

If you forget to get the free one you can get the half price one by entering a code during the promotional period. I will post the code on here when I get it.

Sometimes even if the child is under 5 it is worth paying for them anyway.

Example:

1 adult super off peak return from London - Plymouth = £71.70
1 adult and 1 child ssr from London - Plymouth w/fam card = £61.00

So if you do make enough journeys with the kids it can be worthwhile.

Save loads with mine especially if more than 1 adult travelling (baby 7 mths old).

I always carry around the t&c's as some station staff think the kids have to be 5. As long as you get a child ticket, they don't :D
