Just had a look on RTT and the 3z90 and 3z91 are both booked to work every day up to and including 31/12/19.

Has anyone any idea what was on the 3z91 yesterday as 195012 worked the 06;48 off BiF today.

Nothing showing for it to get back to BiF to work the 06;48 to MIA this morning.
Could it have been one of the three car 195s that are in store at BiF that worked the 3z91.

Sorry about the off topic posts.

That sounds likely. I had 3 cars 195 108 and 128 as at Barrow.
Sorry for off topic post but booked paths may be primarily for Pacer storage.

IIRC I think that Bif ended up with 4, 3 car sets in storage. If Northern are going to replace some of the early morning services out of BiF with 2 cars, after Lancaster a lot of people wont be able to get on them, just had a look at the trains from Lan to MIA out of the first 9, 5 start from BiF.

Sorry for the off topic post, I'll see what I can find out latter.

Thanks for that, is Bif going to get a lot of 2 car 195s instead of 3 car 195s?

Sorry again about the off topic post.

Didn't realize 142030 was being preserved. By who?

Chasewater Railway. See post 2229.

I think someone rushed that update...

It was mentioned / rumoured that 142030 was also going to Chasewater Railway earlier on in the thread. I've looked at each post carefully to see if anything has been confirmed before updating the list, if Chasewater are indeed preserving 142030 then I'll add a note to the side of it on the list, if not I'll highlight it red as withdrawn on the next update when more of Northern's class 142's are either scrapped or go into storage.

Those units that have gone to Transport for Wales to be used for spare parts, are highlighted yellow as they've been converted to other use. One thing for sure, I have no idea what's happening with the TfW 142's apart from eventual withdrawl - but when?

Thanks.
I wonder when the off lease to storage and to scrap trains will resume.

Another planet...
Had the unusual (for me at least) experience of a 4-car 144 formation on the Penistone line yesterday, albeit with the rear set locked out. Think it was a way of getting an extra unit to Sheffield, interior lights were on though, which looked weirdly spooky.
