Not related to this thread but important, ALL rail franchises have been suspended with immediate effect, rail cos will be paid a management fee. Source Radio 4 Today program.
I highly doubt this. Some buses will be off tho because of illness (covid or not) but this will become a normal occurrence from here on.Looking out it seems like there are next to no buses out. If the tracker is right there are only 3 buses out on the 1.
I wouldn’t be worrying about the tracker.I highly doubt this. Some buses will be off tho because of illness (covid or not) but this will become a normal occurrence from here on.
Saturday service running but tracker set up for Monday-Friday timetable.Looking out it seems like there are next to no buses out. If the tracker is right there are only 3 buses out on the 1.
There is a bit of an issue with the underlying technology if it cant cope with this (not the issue about 12345 being on the next x39xa of course!) but the idea that, because of the way it works, an electronic display at a bus stop cant tell you when the next bus is going to be without it's already been told what timetable it's supposed to be operating on.I highly doubt this. Some buses will be off tho because of illness (covid or not) but this will become a normal occurrence from here on.
Edit: saw in the depot that because of this change to Saturday service tracking won’t happen on the whole.
There are buses out. The same thing happens at Christmas when the Saturday timetables go into affectLooking out it seems like there are next to no buses out. If the tracker is right there are only 3 buses out on the 1.
Those of us stuck at home obeying the government advice, find looking at the tracker a couple of times a day a light relief from the depression of watching the news.I wouldn’t be worrying about the tracker.
Just seen 69445 on a 172 and it’s not showing but it’s really not important.

Depends on what you mean by cleaned. I suspect the available cleaners are now told to concentrate on poles, bell pushes etc and have been redeployed at the bus stations as well. Some litter on the floor may look bad (obviously it depends on how much!) however with MacDonalds closing and (I assume) no Metro newspapers about the majority of the sources should be stopped as well.Mixed cleaning being seen on the Bath fleet
The D1 I had this morning was wiped down at the bus station , but one of the U1 buses (33943), has had the same pieces of litter strewn around the bus since Saturday
I've caught it Saturday Sunday and Today , and if doesn't appear to have been cleaned in that time at all
First Bristol/bath lost £1 million last week and Saturday passenger numbers where only 28% of what they normally are.
No, but I wanted to get some fresh air. Not a fan of staying indoors.
Perhaps so but as someone who suffers from quite bad anxiety the thought of having to stay indoors is terrifying. Usually with anxiety most people feel afraid to leave the house whereas I'm the complete opposite. I physically cannot stay inside for more than 3 hours; it's not even about adapting to it, it just will not happen. Thankfully I'm still in work for the time being but that could change tomorrow with the next announcement from Boris.
Anyway, this isn't for this thread.
Dan - @vicbury has said enough. Suggest that you go for walk along the Kennet and Avon or out into the country - there's plenty of lovely countryside around Trowbridge.
My 3 rescue cats do that for me.You're looking at the tracker and then see all the services that aren't running because of Coronavirus.....
Best to just look out of the window and enjoy the birds flitting about.
Yep I fully expect the buses to stop soon and most of us to be put in this 80% pay thing.Worse to come.
A basic service is needed, more like a Sunday service, with a few services running a special timetable like the 35 Kingswood - Marshfield and services running no earlier than 7am and no later than 10pm.Yep I fully expect the buses to stop soon and most of us to be put in this 80% pay thing.

Thinking about it, the bus company’s should be in contact with the hospitals and maybe run a temporary route and timetable for all the key workers still working at the hospital. Seen a lot of posts about nhs workers asking for lifts due to the buses being reduced. I’m still out and about as I’m a key worker, and must say I’m surprised the amount of people I saw on buses today.
Because you already have hotel workers threatening to not work, forcing them to close.Bus cos running services for NHS workers, car park operators offering free parking for NHS workers, why not budget hotel chains offering free accommodation for NHS workers, there are many in a 5 minute walk to Bristols main central hospitals to save these workers the worry of can they get into work tomorrow or can they get home tonight.

Sunday service starts from this Saturday not Sunday as planned.
Even walking it from Trowbridge to Westbury and back as part of a circular walk could help, you might even beat the D1!
It’s a nice day. Go for a walk but socially distanced.I'd enjoy that. I finished work 3 hours ago and I'm climbing up the wall.
