Sounds like different phone interviewers are giving different time scales, mine also said 4 weeks. They are working from home so it’s understandable if they don’t have the same exact info.

Hi all! I have my interview this week, any advice? This is an amazing opportunity so I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous!
Just relax and take a breath. Answer all the questions that they ask and they will make.sure you are at ease. Don't worry if your only 15 minutes or 25 minutes it will take as long as you need.

Hi!

New to the forum, I passed the assessments and then had the telephone interview on the 28th March, interviewer said I would hear back via email whether or not it was a pass or fail...its been coming up to 4 weeks now with no news. I wonder if this is purely down to the recruitment team all working from home and it being difficult to manage?

Interviews are still ongoing. I assume they will wait until all have been carried out before making decisions on who moves onto the next stage.

I think the fact that people in week 1 of interviews were told we would hear in 4 weeks, and it seems that in week 3 of interviews, the same or similar message is being given, we could still be in for a bit of a wait. Completely understandable if they are interviewing as many people as we all assume they are.

Yeah, I had mine on the 24th (3 weeks ago on Tuesday) and was told 4 weeks. Like people have already said, interviews are ongoing and people are being told 4 weeks so just case of wait and see.

I thought the 1st interviews were on Monday 30th? Not even 2 and a half weeks ago. Just looked back through this thread and nobody had reported an interview before then.

I had my interview yesterday and was told 4 weeks... I’m guessing it won’t be till after all interviews are finished. Last interviews were tomorrow I think...

We were told we will hear either way and i was told they were hoping four weeks but could be longer with the virus so everyone should be patient, just a waiting game.

Tomorrow is the end of week 3 for those who had their interviews at the beginning of week 1, making next week their week 4.

Interviews did start on the 30th, it's a bit strange that people have apparently had interviews before that...

Had mine yesterday. The lady was lovely, and said that they compare everyone's score before deciding who gets through. So guess we won't hear until the last of the interviews are done.

Even if you had your interview on the 28th it isn't approaching 4 weeks yet! I thought we all needed a GCSE in maths for this application!

I really didn't think it would be such an issue. All I said was for anyone who had their interview early, next week was approaching the 4 weeks, but I doubt given the advice those being interviewed now are getting, any news will be coming any time soon. My maths are as below:

30th - 5th week 1
6th - 12th week 2
13th - 19th week 3
20th - 26th week 4

That makes next week the end of the 4 weeks for those who had their interview on 30th.

But my point was that they (including myself) would probably not hear anything for some time yet. Be patient, with everything going on, the news will get to us whenever it gets to us. Good luck to anyone who has got this far.

Hi guys,

I had my interview on 1 April and it lasted about 20 minutes. The interviewer was quite helpful and made it easy going.

She said I will hear back in 4 weeks. I think because of Easter holidays and the whole Corona situation it may be longer.

I’ve already passed the psychometric tests and I’m waiting to start with another TOC, but I couldn’t pass on applying for LNER.

Hopefully it’s good news.

Good luck to everyone on here

I doubt four weeks is a fixed time, I'm sure it just means once we've whittled through everyone and gotten around to it. I know I'm one of many counting the days until we hit the four week mark, but for now we wait. It's worse than usual as there isn't a whole lot else to be doing right now!

Anyone with any idea when LNER will be recruiting next, with COVID19 in mind. I assume all new openings will be held until normality resumes?

For me it was the MMI... kept asking me the same question till I didn’t know how to answer it. Think they were trying to see if they could rattle me. Lol
I found it amusing like something off the apprentice

Weirdly found some of the DM interviews much harder though they vary massively
Almost sitting down on the interviewers chair is never a good start. The note taker sits next to the interviewer!

I did,
Thank you for completing your application with Avanti West Coast. We've scored your online questionnaire and unfortunately on this occasion you weren't able to meet the standard Avanti West Coast were looking for.

Thank you for your time and interest in the role of Train Driver with Avanti West Coast and please remember that you can re-apply in 6 months time, just visit the Avanti West Coast website.

Unfortunately, at this time, we're unable to provide you with any detailed feedback on your performance of the online questionnaire.

Kind Regards
The OPC Recruitment T

So not good enough on this occasion... good luck to all those waiting
