I did,
Thank you for completing your application with Avanti West Coast. We've scored your online questionnaire and unfortunately on this occasion you weren't able to meet the standard Avanti West Coast were looking for.

Thank you for your time and interest in the role of Train Driver with Avanti West Coast and please remember that you can re-apply in 6 months time, just visit the Avanti West Coast website.

Unfortunately, at this time, we're unable to provide you with any detailed feedback on your performance of the online questionnaire.

Kind Regards
The OPC Recruitment T

So not good enough on this occasion... good luck to all those waiting

I'm sorry to hear that Choo. I got the same email today too. You are in the wrong thread though lol

That's a different job, so you still have an opportunity with LNER.

Anyone heard anything?
Not yet, LNER are the premier TOC, they will obviously choose the best people available and they have plenty of time to do that given our current situation. My feeling is that it is worth the wait, and when the time comes, rain or shine, you should be proud to get this far. I wish all applicants the best of luck as I hope for myself!

Just received a rejection email now, never mind. Thought my phone interview went well but did only last about 15 minutes or so. At least I applied, you only live once after all!

WOW! This just dropped into my inbox :)

Thank you for taking part in your telephone interview for the position of Trainee Driver.

It’s good news, we’d love to progress you to the next stage!

Good luck to everyone else.

I have just had a email saying I am progressing to the next stage.
The only problem is my GCSE’s are equivalent through NVQ L2 and L3.
It says they need copies emailing and if my qualifications are equivalent they have to be specific to Maths and English so it looks like I won’t be able to go any further although I will contact them and try my luck

I think you're right :)

So people know, they are asking for NI number if you have ever passed psychometric testing before, so it looks like these will be accepted.

The people who are hearing back, which depot did you apply for? I haven't had an email yet and as always it's the anticipation that kills you haha!

Any idea how you go about getting old GCSE certificates from the late 90’s!? I’m going up in the loft shortly but not confident I’ll be able to find them!

I almost certainly have lost all of mine. But you can request replacement copies from the exam boards. It costs a fair few quid,so i'm not going to request them unless I pass this stage.

First post from me - hello everyone! I've passed the phone interview but also have no idea where my certificates are and also only have a maths GCSE equivalent. Have emailed to ask if there is a process for this. Will update if I hear back.

I’d did say they would need copies of certificates at the beginning.
It didn’t say the equivalent had to be specific to Maths and English.
I’ll update when I find out where I stand
