Not all train running controllers work to that roster, some work to an 8 hour one, it depends where you’re based, Glasgow and Basingstoke work to an 8 hour and there may well be more.As someone who spent a bit of time with a TRC when doing my training they do 12 hour shifts so 3 shifts in a week. Cant quite remember the times but I’m sure it was something like 06:45 to 18:45 day and 18:45 to 06:45 night. There’s probably chance to do overtime as well.
You’ll definitely get full training plan etc but it will definitely be a bonus if you have experience in train running.
That’s what I know as a train running specialist who started 6 weeks ago whos based in York ROC so other controls could be different

Absolutely, yeah one glorious day they might all be 12 hours, hope springs eternal....yes that’s why I said other places could be different but the TRCs in York work 12 hour shifts.
Same as signallers in York they all do 12 hour shifts but other places could be a lot different
