Apologies for not responding sooner - I meant to but got distracted! That sounds like a good idea - I'll follow that with interest.Hello Peter, I agree that it's a complete shame to leave it un-updated! I think Ben is probably busy with exams and things, so I've created a copy of the database and I will carry on updating it until Ben is available. You can find the new database here : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eXMGk1AIA39NbiB77Pg7j59dxfddx5aPC3P7QNf6Tc8/edit?usp=sharing
It's not been updated for a few months, so please let me know what needs updating!
And 43050 is a DATS power car, 43058/059 are in service (but gone to Eastleigh for re-livery), 43140 has gone for scrap, 43274 is in EMR livery, 43480/484 are in RailAdventure livery.43043, 43044, 43047, 43049, 43058, 43061, 43064, 43073, 43075, 43081, 43082 and 43083 are all in Ex East Midlands Trains colours (this is not East Midlands Railway).

On the wayAny chance of images for the 68s please
I think all of us have found that we don't have as much time for the things we started in lockdown - and a database like the one you've made will understandably take some work to keep up-to-date.Hi everyone, apologies for not updating anything or updating you. I didn’t have any time on my hands at all and life basically took over so I haven’t had a chance to do much. I saw that Joe took over the project and as I’ve said many times before, I appreciate his help! I’m 16 now, crazy to think when lockdown started I was 14! I did plan to carry on with the train database but I can’t do it all on my own and I don’t want to put the responsibility on Joe, so I thought about trying to create a feature that allows users to submit their own edits to the database, mainly a train’s operator, livery, nameplates and notes. If Joe wants to carry on with the train icons then he’s more than welcome to but if he doesn’t that’s fine. With user edits on google spreadsheets I’m not sure how to allow public edits on certain boxes (e.g. the livery section) so if anybody has any information on how to do that then please feel free to message me or reply to this thread. Thanks!
Yeah, unfortunately that’s the world we live in. I was thinking of a submission style feature that would allow users to submit edits but would need to be approved by either myself or Joe but then that would also take time. I do want to allow the community to edit it themselves thoughI think all of us have found that we don't have as much time for the things we started in lockdown - and a database like the one you've made will understandably take some work to keep up-to-date.
The idea of people making their own edits sounds like a good idea: a more Wikipedia-style approach (which I don't think has been done with railways before?). The only issue I could see is that of people 'vandalising' the site by making silly changes but just like Wikipedia, all you need is a small handful of people going through and changing those incorrect bits back and then you've got it sorted for the most part.

Yourself and Joe have done a great job with the list, the level of detail you guys have provided is excellent, and the train icons are incredible! I would be happy to help keep the list updated and I could help add some of the trains that are currently missing from the list tooHi everyone, apologies for not updating anything or updating you. Either option sounds good - but if allowing the community to make their own edits would relieve pressure on you both, I'd go with that.Yeah, unfortunately that’s the world we live in. Ownership is a key piece of information that is missing from the database (and yes I note your quote marks so know what you mean!).387130 - 141 are still ‘owned’, operated & maintained by Great Western Railway.
