The ear is correct. Found in cats, some breeds of dogs and some other animals.
Over to you.
Thank you.

Next question:

The things represented here by their initials are of a kind, all of you will almost certainly have experience of at least some of them. What do they have in common?

B&S
TitH
ToaR
B&M
SD
PiaB

Yes, colloquial names for things to eat although not necessarily involving sausages.
They are:
B&S - bubble & squeak
TitH - toad in the hole
ToaR - thousands on a raft
B&M - bangers & mash
SD - spotted dick
PiaB - Pig in a Blanket

Your turn...

Bubble & Squeak?
That's one of them.
If it is food and it surely is this has to be the correct answer. They are also all British style food too I would think. D in 5 maybe dumplings?

Thanks. (My bolding above -- "Thousands on a raft" is an expression new to me. Googling -- after a deviation via much music-related material about an album with that title, by persons called Pete Brown and Piblokto [stuff which is very much not my scene] -- revealed that it's a quite recently-coined nickname for beans on toast.)

Setting question, as below.

Which fiction author (the same one, for all three) created the following characters?

Lord Frederick Verisopht

Simon Tappertit

Mr. M'Choakumchild

What do Leicester rugby players have on their shirts that other top flight teams don’t have?

(And it isn’t the name of a sponsor)

Letters to identify the players instead of numbers?

That'll do. They used to have letters rather than numbers, from A for the loosehead promo to O for the full back. Numbers were enforced in the late 90s but Leicester have the respective letter on the front of the shirt as well (photo attached to show an example)

Your turn to take the restart

Switching codes, which association football team has, to date, been the only one to appear in more than one FA Cup Final without conceding a goal?
