These appointments were made yesterday:How many of the major Ministerial posts above are still to be filled?
- Rt Hon Nadhim Zahawi MP to be Chancellor of the Exchequer
- Rt Hon Steve Barclay MP to be Secretary of State for Health and Social Care
- Rt Hon Michelle Donelan MP to be Secretary of State for Education
Despite some reports, Michael Gove hasn't yet signalled continued support and had an unexplained absence from the Commons.
Yes reports Gove along with some of his ministerial supporters are weighing going en masse to PM to tell him to resign, but hes having cold feet as when he did the same to Cameron he scuppered both his and Boris election chances and May won.
Also reported the 1922 committee are having a pre-meeting at 4pm ahead of their scheduled 5pm meeting on rule changes, they will be discussing the potential rule changes but also the option of going directly to Johnson and telling him to resign ahead of the 5pm meeting.
