They can't operate in Passenger service in multiple like that anymore.
(Can still ECS together, but not Passenger service).

I can agree, speed limit in there is 70.

317343 motor coach is loud especially with window open.Load as a Deltic?
I only ever found their PA feedback loud
I can't explain the reason behind it but it has been that loud for over five years. I recall the last months out of King's Cross when 317s often appeared on the 1714 KGX-ELY and return. I had a run 317343; full blast from Hitchin on the up with the speed creeping in to the low 100s and the motors screaming louder and louder. I never thought it would be the last one standing. It's had a few periods of poor reliability.

Driver said it was a bit tired now (knackered) ..acceleration slower than a good one and needing longer to stop.
Hi, would there be any way to check when the 317s are running or how to see if a particular path is a 317? I keep an eye on this page but am planning to try and catch one (if they are still out) next week so if there's a way to check that'd be helpful, i understand it's only 1 pair out nowadays? If not then don't worry, thank you.

Anything formed of either 4 or 8 coaches to West Anglia will be 317's.
Not sure, but would be fitting for Greater Anglia to donate them to the University surely?
Presumably! If not, I'd love the chance to buy one.

Nameplates belong to the RoSCo not the TOC. Angel Trains will decide what happens to nameplates removed from the 317s.
