Completed my Mmi for southern a couple of days ago. The wait for an answer is unbearable! Does anyone have any idea how long the response could/will take? I understand it’s probably different for everyone but a ball park would be great. Thanks

I recently had an Interview with DB Cargo and I was told Its most likely in the new year now due to Christmas and New year break. I'd guess it would be the same with other companies aswell.

I have my answer and I’ve passed the Mmi so now I’ve officially passed the testing process! I’m literally over the moon about this and I’m extremely grateful for all of the knowledge I’ve found across this forum. Thank you so much everyone, I’m now officially a talent pooler!

Hi, I have not posted on here until now but wondered if anyone had any insight as to the Thameslink DMI?. I originally applied in August 2021 and passed the final assessment in July this year. Basically just awaiting a date for DMI and medical. Not really sure I want to pester the recruitment team but if anyone has any idea how long the wait could be, that would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I applied in December 2020, and am still waiting for an assessment day (Southern and TL), so could be years!

I find it totally bizarre the way the invitations for the assessment days are given out. I applied in Dec 20 and passed the initial tests. I’m still waiting for an assessment day for Southern. Surely everyone who passes the initial tests are in the same ‘pool’ waiting for an assessment day, regardless of gender, age, colour, sexual preference etc?? Surely they should all be put through an assessment day before another recruitment drive begins? Seems rather unfair to keep people waiting over two years when others are done within weeks.

Yeah frustrating. I passed assessments in 2021 with another TOC and have not heard anything since and now looks like I could be in the same boat with GTR. After reading some people have been waiting since 2017 it’s quite disheartening. If the TOC isn’t planning to carry some applications forward I’d rather be told so I can move on. At least then I could book a holiday without worrying about a potential clash with a possible training course.

I have a female friend that waited 2 years too but recently got offered an assessment day- they told her people in the pool are picked at random rather than in order - not sure why. I applied December 22 and I’m currently 2 months in to training. Where as I have another friend who applied and still not offered assessment day.. Does all seem very random. Hope you get your call soon

Southern are currently looking at establishments levels at 6 depots due to a reduction in work so could slow things down for a little while

Same, been in the talent pool for BTN and EBN since October 2021.

Hoping maybe late this year, but who knows. I remain optimistic and committed.

SN don’t take trainees at EBN so you’ll be at BTN out of those two
