where will 47442, 47545, 47554, 47556, 47558, 47559 be based?
47442 has gone to Worcester and 47545/47558 are moving to Weston as the X8 is moving depots to Weston. I don't know where 47554/47556 will be based. @stait.john does Hengrove need any more streetlites I thought they didn't need any more? What are Wells getting for 29/75 from Monday?

47442 to Worcester
47447 to Hengrove
47554/47556 to Bath (possibly Wells?)
47559 unsure but having problems starting at present
47545/47558 to Weston

Vehicles away at present:
At Press for paint: 35165, 37682,
At Press for repairs: 36824, 39451
At Plaxton Anston: 39469
At Millbrook: 39133

39134 is back at Bath I believe.

37639 has been removed from GreenRoad so is presumed scrapped rather than made open top.

Long term VOR: 33960 37336 both engine repairs

I knew 33960 was off as it hasn't been in service since July I believe. Also that is shocking for 37639 as I would've thought it would've got repaired. Also how long has 36824 been out of service for and where will it go back to once it has got repaired? Are any other Geminis moving anywhere do you know?

36824 is now a Lawrence Hill bus so will come to LH when repaired.

33960 had a serious engine failure whilst on the AZ2.

In the rest of the UK, from my observations, people have a plan and then tend to check bus tracking when they are at the bus stop. The choice then it wait it out or find an alternative plan.

In London, I haven't spent enough time there around less frequent routes to work out what other people do for the less frequent routes. I know that I use bustimes and just have to scroll endlessly through all of the times and work it out and then check tracking as I am close to the bus stop.
A lot of my friends in London use the citymapper app for checking bus times, when I've been out with them it seems to be quite accurate. Also some use Google maps and the 'directions' function again seems accurate when wanting to know next departure time from a stop. Not sure where they get their feeds from tho.

A pair of Streetlites on the A4 near Hicks Gate this morning. One was 47565 displaying First Bath on the screen so getting the relocations out of the way

37685 out on the 376 - passed it at Happy Landings, though appears to be tracking as 36835 (before people get carried away).
Oh I believe it was out yesterday too as 36835 was also double tracking yesterday.

33800 was used on 75/76 this afternoon for a few hours. Spare in The Centre.

Additional Streetlites into Bath for U5.

Do you know why and what 33951 is at Weston for? Also how long will it be there for? Today is the day of the changes and 47444 has moved to Hengrove I think as it's on 70 this morning. 37239 is doing the first 73 from Aztec West. Now 35175 on the 70 07:07 from Hengrove and 37345 on 73 07:45 from Aztec West.

I was on one of the early 73s today - have to say that the destination display is particularly unhelpful. Through Bradley Stoke, southbound (and by deduction therefore the whole route) it is 73 Whitchurch via Wells Rd. No mention of Parkway, Filton Ave, or even the Centre. So anyone boarding wanting any of the "traditional" route has no reference to it. Not helpful!

That's why it needs route branding. Probably hard to fit all of it on a destination display, it would have to scroll and thus could be easily missed.

I wonder how many people in Bradley Stoke have ever heard of Whitchurch, let alone know where it is!

Dunno about that as I had 37345 on the 0745 southbound and bustimes shows it still on the 73 and just arriving at Belland Dr now...

Out of interest, the Belland Drive terminus used to be on the blinds as Rookery Farm. When did it change to Whitchurch?

They don’t in Bristol. They can if required but they don’t.

Wasn’t aware of Wells. Guess the overflow at the former cold store has ceased.

I've been wondering about that for a while. I often notice buses in the coach station when I'm driving back to Bristol late at night, and I have a feeling they may well have stopped using the cold store. (From minimal observation).

Anything left in Bristol bus station overnight tends to be something that was a staff failure or breakdown late in the day that nobody could shunt to the relevant Depot.

As far as I know, the cold store is no longer used in Wells.

I’ve lost track of transfers this weekend so I’ll list the ones I know:

33938-33941 BH to HG (loans until further Streetdecks are fit)
33951 LH-WM loan (tacho fitted for BoS contract taken over) 33421 is also on loan from Taunton.
33482 WM-LH
36231 LH-BH
37355 WM-LH
37356 LH-HG
47443/4 BH-HG
47447 LH-HG
47545/47558 LH-WM
47555/47568 HG-BH (used by Wells currently presumably for 29/75)

47554, 47556 & 47559 remain at LH but all have various defects, I believe they are destined for Bath once fit.

All 12 of the MMCs from Swansea are now at Lawrence Hill, all but 33483, 33484 & 33486 are in service, 33486 has various defects.

Of the 11 Streetdecks from Leicester, only 35175/6 have entered service so far. 35173/4 are still in Leicester. 35169/35178 are at Worcester.

For those that don’t know codes:
LH Bristol Lawrence Hill
HG Bristol Hengrove
WM Weston Super Mare
BH Bath
WS Wells (for engineering purposes their parent Depot is Bath)

X8 has moved from LH-WM, new Y2 into LH (staffed by Marlborough Street) 70/73 moved LH-HG and combined with 90/92 respectively.
29/75 from Buses of Somerset to Wells, some 29 journeys still run from Taunton Depot.

I think that sums things up!

Thank you for the very comperehensive run down! Been quite a busy weekend.

I didn't realise that the 29/75 will mostly start in Glastonbury rather than Wells. So some dead running in the morning. That of course is what the 29 was until the late 90s.

Spotted 36231 on the 3 on London Road this morning

Think the 29 college journeys are done by Taunton
