Not limited to just passenger vehicles. Of all the rail vehicle types in use on the national network today, which ones will you be happy to see go?

For me its class 153. Noisy and cramped with awkwardly arranged vestibules. Poor performers too, often losing time.

720 and as soon as possible. Waste of money in being built in first place.
Their predecessors were ageing and in the hot south east in the summer trains with hopper windows needed to go. The 321s could have all been refurbed and lasted a few more years but the 317s were 40 years old. As they were replacing them and Interest rates were low and GA wanted to win the long term bid, their thinking was ‘we may as well replace all the slightly younger 321s as well’.

Mk5 sleepers.

They are pathetic for ride quality, space, and ambience compared to Mk3s.

Class 150s - awful things. Noisy, claustrophobic and uncomfortable. If I'm honest, they should've been long gone before the pacers.

Probably the worst trains in service today in my opinion, and only a few years older than the contrast that is the Class 156, which I find pleasant enough.

The decision to replace loco-hauled, and HSTs with 4 car, some 5, was a disgrace. They're claustrophobic, dirty, tatty and noisy. At the very least they should have been 7 cars. Why anyone would pay good money to travel on them from Scotland to the South West, I have no idea.

800s. Sick of squidging through toilet water from yet another leaking toilet. Making a last minute dash down the train because another guards panel is taped out of use, or having to explain why the reservation screens aren't working yet again
God awful trains that should be driven off a cliff.

Yes, 150s should be top of the retirement list: they're excessively noisy with uncomfortable seating and a poor ambience.

156s are better - though most suited to medium length journeys with not too many stops.

156s have that famous Washwood Heath build quality though, they're quite rotten by now. They also "fall between two stools" with a layout more suited to limited-stop routes but only a 75mph top speed. They're best suited for medium distance rural routes, which there aren't really enough of to make use of a fleet of over 100 units.

Class 720s are miles better than they're predecessors

However for me it's probably the Class 387s. Poor ride quality and less than ideal seating

I can't think of a train I won't miss. Even if I'm happy to see them go. They all have something interesting about them I think.

Closest I can get to is picking whichever Deisro class is disposed of first as they're all fairly similar and likely losing that (whichever) particular variation won't be the end of the world.

HSTs - just to be different. o_O
The good news is you'll never go to hell. The bad news is it's because you have no soul.:p

Anything with 3+2 Seating, especially on semi-mainline routes. If you need the capacity, just make it a 12 car instead of 8.

Yes they are horrible. There are 2 on lease to TfW, and I try to avoid having to use them! They still have the original cramped 3+2 layout.
theres truly no worse feeling than seeing a 150 allocated to the train youre catching, one thing ill give them though is there is always a seat available, unlike CAF's unorthodox approach of making every seat a table seat
