5Q76 left Wolverton about 30 late but went North. Has been sat in Northampton for over an hour. No idea why.
Needed to head north to Northampton to run the engine around due to gauging issues, now involved in an operational incident at Northampton station.

Does anyone know what platform it will pass through at Acton main line?
If it's coming down the incline, it has no option other than to pass through the yard behind the platforms, so the up platform is the best place to stand to get a picture of it.

It is possible to go direct from the incline to down slow, the steam special did it this morning. Incidentally, another good place to photograph it is from the western end of the Waitrose car park at West Ealing

If it does use that crossover ( which I had forgotten about ) then the up platform would still be a good place - even if there's a 345 in at the critical moment, it'll not be leaving while the crossing move takes place in front of it so the ends of the platform would still yield a chance at photographing the move; the London end if you want the locomotive and the country end if you want the units.

The move appears to have been cancelled for today now, so presumably a crew could not be found for it.

Yes, believe it or not its one of the better ones to see, that one always follows me around when passing Wembley. Plus when in public use either had it Haulage or sight , every time I travelled on them on Anglia in the final few months.

Noticed today that the spare bodyshell in very rusty first livery has disappeared from outside wabtec at Doncaster along with the collection of derelict mk3s and mk4s. The works yard is looking very empty now

In, Train heaven running services for when we end up in there eventually where its our time, as well. So something for us to ride again in due course. When we do.
However I am thinking the op wants some assistance in the following if anyone can Provide a up-to-date list.
1. Scrapping locations of units concerned ie Newport or Booths Rotherham approximate dates when scrapped
2. Locations and approximate dates, when those other units was preserved.
3. Like anyone of us, information updates on, Retanus 321 and storage locations, however will all of these be scrapped as well??. .

My list is a couple of months out of date and there have been so many withdrawals and units entering service across the network that updating my records seems a little overwhelming right now. But if I get a chance I'll try to update the 321s in the next few days and post it here.

Much appreciated if you could and thank you

There was a flurry of departures from Wolverton for scrap a couple of months back, but that seems to have stopped. Any idea why? My records show still a handful of units there.

There are only 2 tightlock fitted locos, 37800 37884, the former seems to have been out of order for some time. I suspect it's a matter of priorities.

Where are the scrapped 321s and 322s? Will they be or are they preserved?
Try this link. Not 100%, but a good start.

Of the non Renatus units still left, I have 332, 338, 339, 341, 342, 407, 419, 428, 429 at Wolverton, 337 and 440 at Worksop, plus 334 in service with Swift. I'm not sure how accurate that is.
