Are the 73s and 92s a long term or stop gap solution until more advanced locomotives become available?
They were certainly intended as a long term solution: significant sums of money was spent converting/refurbishing (respectively) them specifically for the Caledonian Sleeper work. Are the 73s and 92s a long term or stop gap solution until more advanced locomotives become available?
Because GBRf did not have access to the 67s as they were/are DB Cargo locos. Why were the 73s picked to replace the 67s? They are very old locomotives and other than being a bit heavy I don't know any other problems with the 67s on the Caledonian Sleeper.
GBRf owned the 73s and didn't own 67s?Why were the 73s picked to replace the 67s?
They have been fully rebuilt. They are very old locomotives
They had some issues from time to time.I don't know any other problems with the 67s on the Caledonian Sleeper.
