Congrats! There was me naively hoping to get a Jan date as an August offerI have just been given a start date for January
I was offered the position in June!
Cheers, I am very excited to start. Getting thrown into the deep end with starting around New Years, but, it’s something I’m looking forward too!

I'm hoping to get a call soon. Got my offer on the 7th of June. I feel like I should have been calling them up earlier but knowing how things can be slow I decided not to and I'm really regretting it now.
As someone had mentioned before, calling them does seem to get it sped up as per my situation.
When I did call them they said that have dates available and they got back to me the next day. I feel like if I did not call them, I would still be waiting for a start date.

I suspect there's some confirmation bias at play: (admittedly) anecdotal evidence via TU colleagues of those on courses running recently doesn't suggest there's been any link to chasing and starting earlier. As always, though - patience is the best policy.
Incidentally, if any new or recently-new starters are at Ashfield House on Monday, do say 'Hi' - I'll be hanging around 'West Ashfield' for most of the morning doing a TU induction for new Service Control staff.

i think you should expect one soon. our friend here got their offer on the 3rd of June so I imagine they are working through in chronological order of who received their offer back in June. with a few exceptions, i think people will get a call depending on where they fall on that list. i got my offer on June 13 and, when i called last friday, they said that they weren’t far from me. not sure if it is wishful thinking, but i believe the call is coming soon

Have you tried ringing / emailing the onboarding team?
Tried a couple times, they've said they're working through people before me
Hi . Congratulations . Can you advise if the medical dates are given via phone call or email ? I have planned holiday and I don't want to miss their call . Still awaiting the start date and medical.
So did you get the start date before medical or after.?
Is there any email ID you can communicate regarding your medical at all ? Because then how does one communicate if they are not they are abroad while all this waiting occurs .
I am afraid to miss the calls and therefore getting rejected due to no response.
I got selected in August.
I got my start date after my medical.
I’m not too sure about that. When they did call me, they sent me an email to confirm my medical booking. Over the phone, they gave me a number of dates to pick from for my medical.
Were there multiple dates provided for medical? Were they immediate dates ? As I have been told that the medical is valid for 3 months.
The dates were for a week or two ahead!

I received a call from TFL offering me two start dates.The following day I received a call from occupational health asking me to book in for my medical in which I completed just last Monday.
Thank you ! Can I ask ,if your medical was closer to the joining date? And was the medical date in the same week they called you or did you have to wait .?
My joining date will be in January, (though I was offered November). Occupational health called me the day after I was offered to my start date.

Yes it has been, by the time I start it will have been 25 months since I first applied! I wish you a good outcome too.
Update (14.10.24): My screening was completed around what I would assume 1st Oct as I had not received any updates regarding its completion until I called onboarding today who informed it was completed. I received a feedback email from Reed on the 1st Oct so I would presume my screening had been completed just before then.
Recruitment told me they are currently waiting for training dates so for anyone still waiting for a medical date, I was told you will not receive one until your training dates have been confirmed. The lady on the phone told me that I could be looking at a start date for Spring 2025 so probably March more time. (For people who were offered a role in Aug/Sept)

Hopefully you’ll get your medical soon. Still waiting for my training date unfortunately (13 June) and hoping for a January start date but still no news yet

I had my medical last Tuesday but no sign of a start date. Offered the role early August! Also screening isn’t complete yet but they have everything so not sure what I’m waiting for at this point
