TfW Class 67+Mk4 sets: trip planning/experiences, diagram updates etc

Looks as if everything has gone smoothly and according to plan, minus the slight mishap on 1V62 yesterday which restarted as a set from Shrewsbury (ran ECS Crewe - Shrewsbury) due to the conductor being taken ill.

Hopefully everything remains and falls into place nicely into the next week, looks as if we have a spare set on Canton too! Counting on when we got both 02 and 05 back I feel as if the sets are in a very strong position as of right now.

Things have certainly settled down again recently. Almost inevitably coinciding with HD02 not being around!

1 set swap planned for tomorrow to balance things, HD04 arriving onto Canton off 1V33 will go back out as 1W57 while HD06 arriving on 1V91 will leave as 1W19.

Only ones coming close to exams are HD06 which will be due at the weekend followed by HD01 early next week so barring any failures there should be good coverage this week with HD02 expected back Tuesday or Wednesday and HD05 not too far behind.

Major coolant leak on the loco caused the loco to shut down.
Half the train still in the platform.

67025 is the Crewe recovery loco so highly likely that going to rescue.

Yikes, good thing is the passengers can theoretically get off from the rear so they aren't totally stranded!

97304 from Coleham was used, it pulled the rake back fully into the station. Passengers taken off through doors that were platformed though, no brucy bonus tractor mileage available.

Would it have enough fuel to go straight back? I thought it would’ve had to be refuelled in Canton?

Edit: I’m on 1V46 and we’re heading into platform 1 from the looks of things so it will be turned

I was on the Birmingham to Aberystwyth train. After we pulled into platform 5, the guard came through announcing that the train we were on was being sent back to Bhm. Likewise when the train from Aber arrived in platform 3, it was terminated and sent back. Presumably because 67017 and set were blocking the junction. It was pulled back into the station shortly before we departed. As it is shown passing through EB Jcn before that, I presume its passengers had been put on something else, a 158?

97304 pulled the set back into the platform, 67025 sent from Crewe
To drag 017 & set 7 back to Crewe
But currently the path has been cancelled

67010 has replaced 67017 on HD07 and is ready, if possible it'll swap in either at 13:30 or 15:10 at Crewe. 67029 is planned to head to ATC today to retrieve 67017 and return it to Crewe ETD for repairs.

67025 is then planned to go onto HD07 tomorrow night which will stop for some minor work at Crewe on Thursday/Friday and 67010 will go back onto HD02 enabling that set to be available from Thursday.

Certainly still showing as 015+06 with 013 on 04.

Of the other sets 67010 is planned out on HD02 on v31 tomorrow after a loco swap tonight.

67025 is planned out on another test run tomorrow Crewe-Chester-Shrewsbury-Crewe.
