Please guy's I keep seeing steam Trains go past behind my building I have a great view. But I wish I had a schedule so I could go see the trains in Victoria Station and prepare myself to take pictures!

How can I get a generic schedule of all companies that run through Victoria, can anyone help?

If you go to

You can see a calendar of rail tours for the UK and can quite easily find the ones that start and finish at London Victoria.

You can then use Real Times to find more detailed timings.

The TOC that ran the steam trains are usually West Coast & Locomotive Services but others May run them.

To add to this, if you are using computer then the find in page tool is very useful for this and comes with most (if not all) web browsers.
To use it, press the CTRL key and F key and then type "London Victoria" for trains due in/out of the station.
Mobile browsers also have this feature, normally in the menu with 3 dots/hamburger icon.

For example, see https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/se...3/0000-2359?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt&toc=LS

You can view all arrivals and departures for all operating companies, so you may need to widen the search to see all the trains you want.
A good trick for finding charters is STP workings under Non Passenger Services, *usually* anything with a headache 1ZXX is a charter.

* edited for spelling correction

The RTT lists I've seen do not show that it is a steam hauled service, the timings usually mention diesel. A bit more sleuthing/googling is necessary to identify steam! Look for long stops in odd places (for water) and stops to change engine.

yes , I expect "Control" regard any 1ZXXs as a headache :D

As far as I am aware, there is no "Steam" in the system, nor is there "Battery", which is why Merseyrail Headbolt Lane services say they are diesel.

Vintage Trains ran a steam led Birmingham to York tour today, it showed as per below:
Pathed as Diesel locomotive, trailing load 715 tonnes
Planned for 60mph max

On railcam they show as “Diesel (or steam)”. Don’t know why RTT simplifies this.

Tbh given what else runs as 1Zxx, steam is a relatively low proportion and Control get a Notice for all steam in advance of the train. 1Zxx can be used for regular TOC trains on unusual routes, test trains on positioning moves, regular diesel/electric railtours, and so on as well as for 'awkward' trains like Steam or Incident reaction trains.

Technically, there are timing loads for Steam but they only cover extremely small sections of routes, and it's easier for the Timetable team to plan them using diesel timings due to the data in the timetable planning systems.
Merseyrail I don't know as the 777s should be timed as being on battery mode, so it's probably to do with something in the background data.

This is probably Railcam adding "(or steam)" on to services operated by the charter TOCs themselves.
