Witnessed through both Tile Hill and Barnt Green.
5Q94 0959 Wolverton Centre Sidings to Long Marston.
37800 taking 323204 3323215 for Storage to Long Marston.
However so good to get videos and pictures of 323 on old stomping group in 2024 in a snow storm and through snow in a winter background.
So at least thanks to early snowfall today
323s have been through the old stomping ground ie Coventry and Cross city lines,
In 2024, in all seasons weather, however who would have thought that today's, scenes ie winter, wasn't possible ?
Or would 2024, finally see the 323s in all seasons weather in the final months.
However it was, so 323204 323215, bow out, into Long term Storage to
Long Marston on a Winters Tale,
So out of the 9 not going to Northern
Long Marston 323201 323204 323215 323216 323222 323240 Long term Storage.
Wolverton 323211 323214 323221 reggie still remain.

Nice picture, perfect late autumn background, ie leave colours, but winter background , with snow all around it, perfect all around, in their final twilight moments on the Crosscity. Certainly a moment to remember. During final most likely departure. Excellent all around photo.... and here they are at Kings Norton.

Keeping tabs on flicker and other sources in regards to the units which have gone to northern?
323243 seems to have disappeared as there been no photos or videos of it since it's left the West Midlands? Any ideas where it currently is?

How odd! 323243 was the tenth WM unit to transfer to Northern. Along with 323207 it went to Wolverton on 28May and both transferred to Allerton on 31May. 323207 has been seen out and about since then, but as you say 323243 has just disappeared!

323208 worked 5N36 12:45 Wolverton Centre Sidings to Allerton Depot and 323203 worked 5H70 17:18 Allerton Depot to Wolverton Centre Sidings yesterday 23/11/2024, both MK1 eyeball sightings by myself

There are still three non-Northern 323's at Wolverton (211, 214 and 221). Looks like one or more might be off to Long Marston on Tuesday.
Last week none were transferred, even though an STP schedule was created.

My understanding is that it will be a move consisting of 3x 323's

Unless, of course one going for a respray to Wolverton, gets diverted via Birmingham International, if the wcml via Trent Valley is down.

777s are failing daily, 805s are failing daily, IETs are currently going through a process of maintenance owing to cracking issues - it doesn't matter the age or mileage of a train, they still fail.
I would be amazed if there is any plan to replace the 323s within the next 10 years to be honest, particularly when Northern's focus will be on the replacement of the sprinter stock

That entire diagram is booked 323
as is the diagram for the 7:10 from Hazel Grove
Both diagrams both just run an early morning service, there is also diagram AN 105, which is the 18:22 arrival to Hazel Grove, also booked 323 (cancelled today due to no Guard)

More of the ex-West Mids 323s are entering service with Northern. 323202, 323206 and 323218 have all appeared this week. 323202 is currently on Liverpool to Manchester Airport services, and 323218 is on the Manchester Piccadilly to Hadfield line today also.

Are all the ex WM in service with Northern refurbished to Northern spec? Are all in Northern livery?

The ones in service all have Northern recorded announcements and information screens on. Only 323205, 323208, 323213 and 323220 are in Northern livery, however only 323213 has actually had an internal refurbishment to Northern interior.

Only repaints and digital mods. As mentioned in other thread, only 323213 has gained new seat covers so they have stock of WMT covers for the other 16
On my list I have down
