Its often the case no matter what the company the last bus out is always something that's been repaired overnighand can often be the worst bus in the fleet!
Indeed - it can sometimes be a hand to mouth exercise where a vehicle won't start or is defected by a driver before entering service, and it's sorted a few hours later and pushed out in service.
I wonder if it's time look at closing Cook St between Eglinton St and Salkeld St? I know the bridge in question is west of Salkeld St but it would prevent the inadvertent bus driver taking the wrong route.

So many signs in place for it, including a width restriction to stop this happening, all that on top of the low bridge training offered to all new drivers and ticket machine warning when approaching the low bridge too but still managed to happen.
I've spotted about 4pm today about 6 First Glasgow single decker electric buses including the Scotrail bus link branded vehicle in Camelon, Falkirk. Possible they were heading towards the Alexander Dennis bus manufacturer (they were a few minutes away from there and would have likely come off the motor way near Larbert).

The casing which houses the batteries has badly corroded on a lot of the BYD 200EV single deck vehicles. Some even have the batteries resting on the roof itself causing the roof to sag. Around 20 failed their inspection over the last 48 hours. Staff drove them up to ADL Falkirk yesterday as seen pictured. Still under warranty repair I believe but will be off the road for the foreseeable future. 400EVs not expected to have similar problems due to batteries being stacked up the rear of the vehicle and not on the roof.
37218 given all things considered (but mostly down to the age of the vehicle) will be removed off fleet once returned from the police investigation unit. Most likely major chassis damage to the full roof and surrounding area and not just the part that was directly under the bridge. It’s not like 37748 where it could be repaired but more so it is now at the time in its life where it would not have long left on the road regardless. I’m still surprised 37748 was repaired to this day and not sold to the scrap man
