Its often the case no matter what the company the last bus out is always something that's been repaired overnighand can often be the worst bus in the fleet!
Indeed - it can sometimes be a hand to mouth exercise where a vehicle won't start or is defected by a driver before entering service, and it's sorted a few hours later and pushed out in service.

The rear route number display appears to be 4A and the bus has turned off Eglinton Street one junction too soon

To add: causing multiple cancellations on the Ayrshire, Inverclyde and Paisley Canal lines until the bridge is checked.

I wonder if it's time look at closing Cook St between Eglinton St and Salkeld St? I know the bridge in question is west of Salkeld St but it would prevent the inadvertent bus driver taking the wrong route.

There are so many warnings in place now that it’s absolutely baffling how it can still happen. It’s beyond incompetence from the driver.

So many signs in place for it, including a width restriction to stop this happening, all that on top of the low bridge training offered to all new drivers and ticket machine warning when approaching the low bridge too but still managed to happen.

I really do hope that the person who’s in a critical state from the accident is OK.

Also, earlier today I noticed that 37225 has recently had a complete leather seat re-fit.

Caledonia must be really short of buses. There’s a good few on loan from Lanarkshire and Scotstoun.

I've spotted about 4pm today about 6 First Glasgow single decker electric buses including the Scotrail bus link branded vehicle in Camelon, Falkirk. Possible they were heading towards the Alexander Dennis bus manufacturer (they were a few minutes away from there and would have likely come off the motor way near Larbert).

Any ideas what could be happening with them?IMG_20241220_155718.jpgIMG_20241220_155730.jpgIMG_20241220_155715.jpgIMG_20241220_155735.jpgIMG_20241220_155736.jpg

Oh dear - that’s a lot of buses off the road. Might explain why some deckers have returned from Aberdeen!

Most of the 9 branded BYDs are off
Oh, so that’s why there’s a bunch of E300s at Caledonia, along with some Lanarkshire E200MMCs.

I saw one of the shorter ones on the 9 earlier today.

Also, 37223 has the new livery.

Why are so many of these electrics off the road? Are they having the same sort of issues as some of lothian's new bzls or is it more serious?
They're build quality is non existent, Water ingress to name a few things, the whole body shakes as soon as it hits a pothole, Absolute heaps.

The casing which houses the batteries has badly corroded on a lot of the BYD 200EV single deck vehicles. Some even have the batteries resting on the roof itself causing the roof to sag. Around 20 failed their inspection over the last 48 hours. Staff drove them up to ADL Falkirk yesterday as seen pictured. Still under warranty repair I believe but will be off the road for the foreseeable future. 400EVs not expected to have similar problems due to batteries being stacked up the rear of the vehicle and not on the roof.

37218 given all things considered (but mostly down to the age of the vehicle) will be removed off fleet once returned from the police investigation unit. Most likely major chassis damage to the full roof and surrounding area and not just the part that was directly under the bridge. It’s not like 37748 where it could be repaired but more so it is now at the time in its life where it would not have long left on the road regardless. I’m still surprised 37748 was repaired to this day and not sold to the scrap man

Seats are from 37203 which is now completely bare inside and ready for part recycling pending uplift for scrap
