Has it got TFW branding on it now? I saw it at Canton a week or so ago and it seemed have none.
I'll head out soon to confirm it when it works it's way back through Llanharan.
I'd guess it hasn't? Seeing how it's worked a service it does seem that it's a bit out of the question to TfW as of right now. We'll see, though.

EDIT: I take that back, I've already seen a few photos, it's unbranded

I suppose it saves the job of removing them when the unit makes its way to SIMS!

I wonder with all the effort with 150279 if it'll be the last 150 in tfw service, I also wonder if it might make it to another toc?

The C6 dates for 242 and 279 are March and August next year. Unless the repair work has reset the date, they will both be in the bin next March.

150230 1252pm and late leaving landore in Swansea arrived just in time whilst heading back to work and shows it going to its final resting place.
This was new to neville hill and ended it's career with tfw last year.

From Google:

On September 30, 2024, Unimetals Group Limited (the "Company"), a UK headquartered metals processing, recycling and trading business, completed its acquisition of Sims Group UK Limited, the UK's second largest metal recycler and previously a subsidiary of Sims Limited, an Australian publicly listed global leader.

Looks like September 30 2024 was the formal transfer date to Unimetals Group.
Many thanks bnsf734

Video here (not mine):

(Video shows 150279, a "hybrid" unit formed of vehicles 57242 + 52279, both in unbranded Transport for Wales red and white livery, passing through Llanharan railway station).

I'll upload a full screen version instead of a short later if anyone wants that instead.

Next March ..... could be interpreted as meaning March '26 (what I'd go for - March '25 being in my mind 'this March'), or other people may think it does indeed mean March '25. Which is it, please?

My photos of 150279 on 2F88 at Queen Street, then back up as 2T62 this evening 9/1/2025. Note the large T branding, but not the website as on other units.

Since the first sentence you've quoted refers to "March and August next year", which is clearly 2026, surely the date in the second sentence must be March 2026?

Earlier today I took a look through 150279, only to notice that in the 279 coach there's remains of the old "How am I looking today?" signs...

This photo from Carl Brunnock helpfully shows the engines have been removed before transport to Newport :). 230 being the latest to make its final journey

That picture shows something I've been wondering about. Why do many of Canton's 150s have a black patch on the corner above the driver's window?

Don't know if it's relevant, but it often (not always) has an electricity warning / lightning bolt just below it. And sometimes there's a black patch both sides as well (eg. 150254)

Its the spot that is usually the first to be hit the excessive tree growth we have these days, eventually it goes into a full blown rust hole!
