I am travelling from Manchester pic to Hereford on Saturday and wondering if I can return via Birmingham for a break of journey. The ticket is a Day Return.

There isn't a day return fare from Manchester to Hereford - do you have a through ticket or split tickets?

If it's a through ticket, unfortunately it isn't valid via Birmingham.

Thank you. It is of course a “Off Peak Return”. I shall have to look at splitting my tickets.

If you are doing all the travel in one day, I think a return from Manchester to Ledbury would work.

Hmm, on second thoughts the ticket is valid by both routes, but it's 8A, which in theory prohibits break of Journy, Damn.

West Midlands day ranger and a return to Crewe. £50 total before railcards. You'd need to go via Crewe, Stafford and Birmingham in both directions as it's not valid on the direct SHR-HFD services.
