Ahh ok would it be normal for them to shut only a few days after putting it up??Thats quite normal for the past few years. Its possible that NR have closed it though and Indeed hasn't yet caught up.
Believe it depends on individual areas and reasoning. I come from midlands and did IST in Ipswich. Was 2.5 hours drive on a Sunday afternoon but would have been around 5 hours on train so we were encouraged to drive. They covered our mileage and paid for us to park all week at hotel. They will balance expense against getting the best out of you as you need to work hard at IST.Has anyone had to cover their own mileage for travel for IST? I wanted to drive but apparantly they don't cover my mileage I'd only be able to get free parking at the hotel.
I’m not sure of the official pass rate. Five of us started and were joined on IST by one other that had failed their week 5 previously. All six of us passed through IST on this attempt, with no resits or talk ups.Do many trainees fail the course, if so what happens ie do you get removed from the position.

You will getting a video of a person asking a question, then 1.5 minutes to prepare your answer, then recorded you answering it.has anyone got any ideas what involved in the video assessment for a g2 signaller role please? thanks
are they just general interview questions? You will getting a video of a person asking a question, then 1.5 minutes to prepare your answer, then recorded you answering it.
Mines was for G8 and had 4 questions altogether, so may be different for G2.

Scroll up about 8 posts and you will see the answerHi all, following the online assessments, I’ve been invited to the online video interview, can anyone advise if the questions are likely to be competency based or more towards the signaller role and Network Rail in general? It’s for a grade 8 post, if that has a bearing.
TIA
Going off the last time I applied for a G9 and got put in reserve list, no paper testsHello first time poster !
I’ve applied for a grade 2 trainee signalled role, completed the online assessment and now have the video interview to record. Once this is complete and you’re successful (hopefully!) is there a formal paper based assessment centre or do you attend a face to face interview?
Many thanks!

Mines was online tests then video interview.
After applying for G8 because they changed the recruitment system, I have had online tests, video questions and now I believe it's a video or face to face interview.
You'd be surprised, mines last year was still video interview, but I've heard that the bigger signalling centres don't really want joe public inside due to sensitive info etc. That’s lovely thank you
I’d assume the formal / final interview would be face to face now the you know what is over. Strange there isn’t / might not be a paper based assessment centre, not to be big headed but the online assessment was pretty basic.

But G2 may be a In person one, not to mention I'm scotland and they see to do things differently up here anyway haha.
Yeah straight forward tests, only seems to be the memory grid test that catches people off guard them dam dots.
I never redone a question, but from what I read it's you can record 2 time and you get the choice, but the way I see it, is it said it will show you re-recoreded and could point to hesitation (just my opinion) so I opted to stick with my first recording, says I passed and waiting on interview dates now, so it worked for me.Yes the dots where a little funny but not to bad !
The recorded video interview says you get two shots at each question but if you choose to take the second one it’s go broke or go home!
I assume you can use take one as a practice then record take two as your real response, or so you get to record both and then have an option to choose?
I’ve messaged you the ones I got but It was 4 of them, do you remember what your 3 questions were?has anyone got any ideas what involved in the video assessment for a g2 signaller role please? thanks
Do you remember what the 4 questions you got were? I done mine back in July time and im wondering if the questions are the sameYou will getting a video of a person asking a question, then 1.5 minutes to prepare your answer, then recorded you answering it.
