Ashford to St Pancras International ticket - can I exit at Stratford International instead?

Hi All,

If I bought a return from Ashford International to St Pancras International, can I exit at Stratford International on the outbound journey, but return from St Pancras?

Where I need to be is better for Stratford on the way up but when I come back a couple of days later, St Pancras is better...

As long as this is a ticket type that allows break of journey, such as an Off Peak Return or Anytime Return, there would be no problem with this.

I think it would be an Off Peak Return, but return within one month type. I assume advance singles wouldn't allow this, but are there other types I should avoid?

The outward portion of a Weekender Return has break of journey restrictions. The return portion permits break of journey, though.

I exited and then went back through the barriers last week with the outward portion of a London-Canterbury HS1 e-ticket. No problems. I had to collect my luggage from the Premier Inn and then carry on to Kent.
