Hi everyone, just thought I’d let you know that A friend of mine who passed the assessment last year June has just got his training date for end of June this year. He’s CSA1 night tube and over the moon, he will be trained alongside CSA full timers.

Hope everyone gets their training dates. Check your emails in the coming days
That’s good to hear

Update almost 9 months after interview (August 2nd 2024)... finally recieved an email this morning saying they had training dates for me... due to much of my summer already having been planned out I now finally have a start date on August 18th! (the earliest they could offer was July 7th)

Over half a year of uncertain waiting is now over

Hi,

Firstly congratulations. I was wondering when you got your offer. I’m CSA1 night tube as well. I got my offer on august 19 last year and called up tfl to see roughly when i would be starting. However they told me it wont be a while.

I see that the customer service supervisor role has come out internally on TFL so I think we are on track for another campaign in June hopefully

Hi all, I'm jus curious. What's the general practice of employees: do you change into your uniform when you get to work or leave home wearing your uniform?

Very much a mix. Personally when I was on stations I travelled in uniform, but I only lived ~15 minutes from the station.

If you work at a group that is basically a single station eg King's Cross, then you'll have a locker and can store your uniform there and get changed when you arrive.

If you work on bigger groups where you might be working across 3/4/5 stations over a week, then it will be harder to arrive at the station where your locker is, get changed, and then get to the station you're actually working at - particularly at 0430/0500 in the morning.

So definitely mixed.

Hopefully they do let me know soon, it’s been a long 9 months. The wait isn’t even the worst part, it’s the not knowing how long you have left till you start. I haven’t even done my reed checks or medical yet either Good luck on your training tho.

I travel in wearing my trousers and a shirt/polo with either a jumper/coat on-top. I then put my jumper and coat/gilet when I arrive at the station when i book on shift. But I see some staff travel with their full uniform. Remember if you are travelling in uniform someone could stop you and ask a question :)

Fellow CSA1 Night Tube candidates hope we’re well.

Any August / September 2024 offers? I understand we’ll be a waiting a LONG while to start but only 2 candidates are given training dates fortnightly which seems crazy to me.

Expecting to be initiated into checks in 2026 but has the business been this busy before?

Just seen this regarding number of new CSA2 starters for this year. Guess they're still going through July dates. Surprised on the number of people still waiting though (298), from what I know there's only August and September offers to receive start dates, has anyone received an offer later than September?

They’ve started on August offers so maybe just haven’t updated it yet!

Having read through posts from last year (2024) someone who got their job offer on 31st May '24 started their training in October 2024. The campaign adverts were from April - August 2024. So a fair few of the earlier applications would have started training well before Christmas. Do you have those figures to add in?
