I am curious how many trains in other countries call at two stations with the same now?

I think the UK has one (or used to have one as it may no longer run) which called at Adlington (Cheshire) and Adlington (Lancashire) but i have always wondered whether other countries have similar services.

Amtrack run multiple trains a day that call at two "Vancouver" stations. They call at the city of Vancouver in Canada and then at the town of Vancouver on the Oregon and Washington border. I wonder how many get confused and accidentally alight at the wrong one.

Can anyone think of any other services in any countries that call at two stations with the same name?

For me the first one that comes to mind is the Amtrak Maple Leaf calling in Niagara Falls, NY and in Niagara Falls, ON right after crossing the US-Canada border.

There might be cases like this in Switzerland, as there are at least towns with the same name but in different cantons.
Though no specific towns come to mind.

On Amtrak we also have Newark (New Jersey) and Newark (Delaware) both on the New York to Washington Northeast Corridor. Usually not a problem as only a few Amtrak trains stop at Newark DE, mostly it is a commuter stop used by SEPTA locals from Philadelphia.

Same name is easy, particularly in Germany (Neustadt/Saale, Neustadt/Weinstr and so on). Finding a service is the hard bit.

Unless you allow the easy cross-border ones such as Guben next stop Gubin, Cieszyn-Cesky Tesin and so on.

Line SN8 (night train) connects Pfäffikon SZ to Pfäffikon ZH

Basel - Basel is also an obvious one

The Hounslow Loop services call at London Waterloo and London Waterloo, as well as Clapham Junction and Clapham Junction, but I feel that might not be what you're looking for...

Does that count? The stations have different full names (Basel SBB and Basel Badischer).
The history of Basel Bad is an interesting read on Wikipedia. Despite it being wholly in Switzerland the platforms are in a special customs area (German/EU). However I fear I'm veering off the subject of this posting and down a rabbit hole.

Sadly it is not possible to travel by an Italian through train from Monaco to Monaco (Munich).

On the Chicago El, the Blue Line calls at two stations named Harlem, as well as two different Westerns. This is due to the grid layout of the streets: the North-South Avenues bisect the line in two places, with the stations named simply after the road crossed. There are also stations named Western on the Orange, Brown & Pink lines, as well as various other stations with fewer repetitions.

There may be similar examples elsewhere in the USA.

I remember catching a Saturday service from either platform 3 or 4 at Clapham Jct which had come from Reading and headed to the Kent Coast. I got off at Ashford (Kent). It will have gone through Ashford (Middlesex - now Surrey); don’t know if it stopped there. Mid-late 80s Summer Saturdays.

Was there ever a Dover or that neighbourhood to Exeter or beyond that would have called at/passed through both Gillinghams?

Does a line of the Paris Metro stopping at Chatalet, then Les Halles, which are both part of the Chatalet-Le Halles station complex count?

There are Tyne and Wear Metro services that call at Monument twice, but it's actually the same station, not
As do Circle line trains calling at Edgware Road on the 'lassoo' service on the Underground.

Plenty of examples of trains calling at stations with the same main title if not suffix - e.g. Paignton to Exmouth calling at
Exeter St. Thomas, St. Davids, Central.

I suppose you could argue that some Merseyrail trains call at James St twice, but they aren't advertised as such, they are advertised as terminating at Liverpool Central.

Are there any diagrams that involve a unit arriving from the Rock Ferry direction and then heading out to the northern branches of the Wirral? If so, they'll serve different parts of Hamilton Square.

Not a regular thing, but the 507/508 farewell tours served both levels of Liverpool Central and Moorfields.

That used to happen but I believe now everything goes back from whence it came, it was considered to cause less cross-pollination of delays than running through services which people would rarely use as such because it's generally quicker to change on the Wirral side rather than go round the Loop on the way.

In FRance there is AIX, but en-Provence and les-Bains and I highly doubt there is or has ever been any train linking these 2.
I myself live in the only dutch place that has even 2 same-name duplicates-but the other 2 are tiny hamlets without any station. But then yesterday to my surprise I went from Bratislava to Budapest, where I sit now. As cheap as can do for all free: on a senior ZSR free ticket via Nove Zamky to Komarno. This area in Slovakia is bilingual and most station names also show the hungarian names. Which to my surprise was also for Komarno as Komarom, whereas I always thought that was the other side south of the Dunav/Danube river in Hungary. But, sadly, even though this short section is still shown on the Slovak printed timetables hanging out in most major stations (all of the country in Bratislava, which also has an impressive row of empty ticket windows and some 7 or 8 coffee machines sidebyside-what one also hardly sees anymore) the trains that once linked these 2 have ceased. There is now a weekdays only VOLAN bus, irregular and not aimed at giving good connections. Thus I walked via the bridges from Komarom to Komarom. The latter on the hungarian side was an old style buiding. I let the IC -late 10 mins, coming from Ljubljana- pass by (would have cost me 990 HUF) and took the next Szemely=regional, a coupled 4 car sets. Not the fastest, but by far the cheapest.

Oviedo - Ferrol afternoon regional, stops at two Las Campas. For that reason, the more obscure and less used one changed name to Las Campas (Castropol).
