I will be updating the fleet list in due course. If I’m not mistaken, with the exception of the three withdrawn units (01, 10 and 40), all surviving units are in working order.
Can anyone provide an update on the condition of 4001? I’ve heard a couple of rumours about it which I’m hoping are incorrect…

When I went past the Depot last week, it looked as though 4003 was missing its pantograph, and I've not seen it around for a couple of weeks now. 4036 has also been missing for a while, but other than that I think everything else has been in service.

I think the fact it's been virtually outdoors with not a lot of movement at times would suggest it won't do much good for the unit. The fact it's been inside the depot for 4 years and it still has not left would suggest preservation looks unlikely.

They've got to preserve 4001!! Its the only surviving prototype.
I see Stadler 500028 has entered service according to info I have recieved, so I wonder if 4010 and 4040 have their funerals arranged!!

Always felt internally 4002 looked in better condition in terms of interior lighting, not sure if the diffusers were slightly different in terms of colour but 4002 always seemed to have brighter lighting than 4001 where the interior just seemed somewhat darker.

I know it's a long shot but would anyone be able to help with more precise withdrawal dates for the Metrocars that have already been withdrawn? With the exception of 07, 22, 40 and 83, all of the withdrawal dates on the list at present are vague, some more so than others, and it would be good to have more precise dates for them.

03/06/2025 - 4010 has finally left for scrap. Was (other than 4001) the unit that had been withdrawn the longest.
