Hello all,
Long story short, I was issued a TIR and I stupidly lied about my address and date of birth while riding TPE with a recently expired (1 month) railcard.
Officer recorded most of the interaction where I was asked to write down my details on paper and a picture of the ticket (on my phone) was taken.
I was by no means rude to the officer nor he was rude with me, I was however feeling a bit rebellious and gave an old address with a minor change and a very similar DOB... Very silly and immature of me, full stop.
The address registered on the card used to purchase ticket matches my home address.
Now my question is, when do I apologise to TPE and indicate my correct details so that I can fully own the fine? do I do it now or do I wait for the Notice of Intended Prosecution?
Also, apologies if this question has been asked several times and thanks for your patience
