Realtime trains says 45118 on thisI see there is an LSL outing from Crewe to Southampton on Friday 30th May, pathed as 95mph so probably not steam (3Z44 to Warminster, 1Z44 to Salisbury and 1Z45 to Southampton).
Does anybody know what it will be?
Cheers
Confirmed. Saw it leave Shrewsbury this morning.Realtime trains says 45118 on this
Railcam says:What coaching stock is on 1Z44, 1Z45, 1Z46 today? Thanks.
Looks like some stuff going on around Warminster this next weekLooks like a re-naming/dedication as the nameplate was covered.
Looked very nice.
It’s in the post above yours:Looks like some stuff going on around Warminster this next week

Seen it reported elsewhere as a few LSL Mk2s with 99993 and a BSK
Warminster is a pretty important place for the British Army so I guess the "Royal Artilleryman" will be rededicated
Thanks @Class15 Yes, I toyed with asking in the Non Urgent TOPs thread; I put it here for continuity of the topic. RTT data showed as "5 car" - which intrigued me. I had planned a drive to Romsey area ... until my dear wife announced she was off to the hairdressers.Railcam says:

99993
35467
For future reference there are specific threads for rolling stock requests.
As per SWR this evening:Looks like a re-naming/dedication as the nameplate was covered.
Looked very nice.
Today with @NetworkRailWssx, we hosted the Royal Artillery @BritishArmy at Salisbury station for the rededication of the Royal Artilleryman locomotive.
Based locally at Larkhill, the regiment is one of the many @DefenceHQ units served by our network.
Any further news on how the certification works are progressing? Very much looking forward to seeing it operational again.89001 has undergone testing. Last I heard was that it needs certification works (and possibly a few tweaks?) to be completed before it can become mainline operational.
Apparently according to other sites 34046 failed it's ftr this morning so 40013 continued onwards but the concerns are if it's passed for kingswear or notToday's 1Z60 0521 Northampton-Kingswear appears to be unable to have a steam loco on the leg from Taunton. The relevant workings for the loco change have been cancelled, while the railtour arrived and left Taunton over 30 minutes early.
I would have thought 40013 would be lighter than a Castle or A4 and tender but perhaps on less axles. Just googled it an it seems a fully fuelled Castle and tender is about 127 tons on eight axles whereas a 40 is about 135 tons. An A4 however is about 167 tons on ten axles.Apparently according to other sites 34046 failed it's ftr this morning so 40013 continued onwards but the concerns are if it's passed for kingswear or not
Interesting. They seem to not be making brilliant use of the existing two. What might they need 90026 for?Yesterday 90026 was collected from Crewe Electric depot by 37409 and transferred to the DMD and is now part of the LSL allocation.

It’s in the operational pool (unless that is just the pool for all LSL locos regardless of condition?) and has an ‘N’ suggesting it is in normal working condition?Spares?
Probably because Mr Hosking wants it. Why do they need 4 Class 20s or several Class 37s? The answer is they don't need them but they've got them anyway.Interesting. They seem to not be making brilliant use of the existing two. What might they need 90026 for?
LSL do have a storage pool aswell as an active poolIt’s in the operational pool (unless that is just the pool for all LSL locos regardless of condition?) and has an ‘N’ suggesting it is in normal working condition?
Or maybe (and this is very speculative) it could be for GWR, who I understand are interested in using a class 90 from LSL on the sleeper ECS (empty coaching stock) from Reading.Probably because Mr Hosking wants it. Still doesn't make sense considering how under-used 90001/2 are. Surely they could just lease one of those to GWR?Or maybe (and this is very speculative) it could be for GWR, who I understand are interested in using a class 90 from LSL on the sleeper ECS (empty coaching stock) from Reading.
