The locomotives mentioned in clue 5 were a pair of 1600 class 0-6-0PTs, 1646/9, originally sent north to work the Dornoch branch which on that line's closure in 1960 were transferred to Inverness and made regular appearances at Dingwall until the end of steam in the Highlands in 1962.
