The seating excuse seems false to me, although most Evoras come with vogelsitze branded seats iirc, there have been plenty built without. Some with Esteban Civics like for Arriva and Bee Network, whilst Lothian and Stagecoach have Lazzerinis.

Trentbarton use Civics, which as I’ve stated above have been used in new Evoras delivered in the past few months.
Isn’t it more to do with the fact that the evoras seats are bolted to the floors and not the sides (which makes cleaning easier) rather than specific seating type

It's the fact that Evoras don't come with cantilevered seating, which Trentbarton seem to only want. @callum3490 is spot on and beat me to it!

496 is in use at Derby at the moment, on 6.1, seems derby's struggling quite a lot today as well with 811 on mickleover from LM

Yes, a bus gets fixed, another breaks. Noticed 266 finally came back on the Allestree releasing Solo SR 500 to pick up a diagram on 6.2, that 269 didn't/couldn't work.

Yeah I was thinking that.

On another note, apparently Notts and Derby were suppost to have moved depot a few weeks ago (presumably to stores road) anyone know if this was true? Also as well any knowledge about if stores road has had any actual work done to have the ability to store vehicles, refuel/wash and maintain vehicles?

Last I heard Stores Road was packed full of new vans, so I am not sure where the buses would go ...Now a while ago, a very different location was being bandied about....But hang on, if they get all these Flixbus coaches (some at least, Derby based), where do you park everything when the depot is already cosy? Surely you risk more damage to buses. Less staff parking etc. Ah well, at least they have a toilet drop.

Yeah, thats the main reason I thought a depot change for N+D would of been happening, especially if they decided they wanted to expand the work they have with flixbus

no work has been carried out on stores road to make it 'home' for Derby operations. Also there is a long lead time in terms of deliveries for the eVora, as well as it not being 'company friendly' - I remember the days of optare and wright and even evobus moving heaven and earth to meet spec requirements, only ADL offer such flexibility these days really.

I wonder if ADL will soon see extended lead times, if and when they close the Scottish factories and concentrate on Scarborough site?

It’s interesting that as little as lead times and seating types sway TB away from the evora - they clearly aren’t thinking that the E200s are terribly unreliable on routes like skylink, theres enough in the company in use now to make that judgement reliably so they simply wouldnt order more if it was damaging the routes reputation. Ultimately its a demanding route that clearly takes the money to justify new buses every 5 odd years so would heavyweights make much of a difference? Citaros were still replaced after 5 years

I would say the weakness in the e200s is the 4 speed voith in the routes that often go on faster roads, if it started being supplied with the NXT it would probably improve their suitability to the route (or dare I say ADL should start offering ZF or Allisons as options again)

It's the build quality that needs extending on & not the lead times.
Can you use build quality in a sentence about ADL? To be honest, I am ALWAYS glad to get off them. A bus designed by someone who doesn't use them. Okay they may look pretty, but they could do with better suspension, better opening windows that actually give a flow of air and maybe ditch the sun roof. People don't want to sit in a greenhouse. They actually make Optares look good, albeit a little tired. Interesting to see warranty loan bus, 277 is still in use. Must be 8 months + now.

It is interesting you mention reliability. In Derby yesterday, Solo SR 496 and Versa 811 were on loan. Someone asked about the Harlequin and the company responded "Sorry we have run out of serviceable buses". Will that passenger use the bus going forward? We might never know. Now you could say get more buses. But that impacts of costs and hence profit and some have said some TB routes are making much profit, and can't justify new buses. Maybe the solution is more reliable buses. Of course if there were more buses at Derby, they'd not all fit in the depot. Will be cosy with the Flixbus coaches next week.

The strange thing is; having travelled on the Unibus E400 double deckers, I find they seem to be solidly constructed, the bodywork is tight and rattle free.

It's the single deckers, E200s which appear to be lacking in quality.

And would I be right in saying that the E200s are built in Scarborough and E400s in Falkirk? If so,then their quality may take a dip after that plant's closure.

Yes the odd cream on the Enviro 400MMCs and nice to travel on. Be interesting to see what happens to loadings come 1st August when they charge fares. As an aside, McGills in Scotland has said they bought Yutongs because of quality concerns with another builder.

You might wish to amend that. ULL to ULP are actually 925 to 929. So they may start at 921
