I know we've had UKTS threads before, but I've been playing quite a bit recently and (I hope) I'm not the only one who still is.

Therefore, I thought I'd upload a few of my screenshots. I seem to be in luck because I can run UKTS on full detail settings.

Feel free to upload your own shots, or share any info/tips/downloads you have. I have a few myself! :)

I've not used it for a while, will have to start it up again this afternoon.

I think driving a real truck takes the edge off it a bit

Are you a HGV driver now? I remember you talking about it a while ago.

Not quite.
Passed the class 2 test, have to do the CPC once I get my licence back, do a couple of other things, then I can look for work. (Which I most likely won't get anytime soon due to my age and lack of experience )

You will have a PM. I may have a bit of help on that score.

Yeah they have the made up names for all of them.

Like DAV for DAF, Runner for Renault plus more.

In a way I think I like it better like that, it sort of adds a bit more 'fun' to it

Nice screenshots. Life's been hectic for the past few months so haven't had a chance to play it for a while.
It truly is a great game, and the graphics are still superb without requiring a very powerful PC.

Actually, my parking was deliberate. The camera only turns to a certain angle so I had to angle the cab in such a position in order to get my screenshot.

Three more from me.

1) Trains and trucks in one.
2) Traffic on the outskirts of Aberdeen.
3) Me losing patience on the outskirts of Aberdeen!

Can I cheat and put up the vehicle I used to actually drive, not a high tonnage, but did a lot of mileage...

Especially when someone thought it was a good idea to hide a Liverpool delivery in the middle of the Newcastle (tyneside) pallet, didn't get home till half six that day...

Is really just to show off the parking to be honest, and if you know where that picture was taken, you can have a prize.

@ HST Power:

Why does your Scania have a 35-reg number plate? Such a thing will not be around for almost a quarter of a century!

You think that's bad on "The Getaway: Black Monday" (ps2 remember them) I saw an 82 plate Renault Megane.

Not to be pedantic deltic, but that would be 2 and a half years younger than a 35 plate...

Did once have pepole think somthing with a B 48 plate was brand new... was fun

Im quite familiar with the view in the second pic :p

Some day, I wouldn't mind having that view either! :)

I know you are a HGV driver, but if you don't mind me asking, what sort of driving do you do? Tramping, night shifts ETC?

It must be quite a life out on the road. I used to watch the Eddie Stobart programmes which followed the lives of the drivers as they went about making their deliveries. I have a bit of a soft spot for Scania trucks, but if I could have one truck, if would have to a MAN. (the lorry kind!!!)

Oh yeah its quite a life..... one i would quite happily get out of if i could, theres easier ways to make money, as much as i love trucks and love driving them i would'nt recommend this life to anyone, your always away from home and loved ones (ive recently lost a long term girlfriend who left me saying she wants a boyfriend 24/7 not 2 days out of 7) health wise its difficult to stay healthy, ive put on loads of weight since doing this as you spend most of your time eating crap food as and when you get time and it goes without saying you spend most of your time sat on your backside and get no exercise, eating healthy is very hard on the road, yeah getting the stuff to eat is possible but you gotta cater in for things that you take for granted at home, like washing up whatever you use to cook and eat with etc, for example, lets say you have an 11 hour break, in that time, you have to get a good nights sleep, eat, tidy up, wash, clean, get dressed and undressed, sounds relatively easy don't it, but try it in a truck cab, its not straight forward, if i want to do something as simple as have a wash in the morning when i wake up, first i have to boil a kettle, or use cold water, no bathroom with hot and cold water here.

You get no respect from other motorists, as soon as your in a truck you effectively become public enemy number 1. Your treated like scum, i went to a Debenhams distribution place the other day, your not allowed in the buildings but upon leaving your still expected to open up the back of your truck to check you ain't stolen anything AND they expect to search your cab to check theres nothing in there, having a security guard with the IQ of a goldfish rummaging through your personal stuff treating you like a criminal really is not pleasant.

I could go on and on about whats wrong with this industry and why to steer clear of it but im now loaded and gotta crack on, can't earn enough money for a good gov'nor.

Regards

(don't take this a rant at you, no offence intended)

Great programe that.

Your in look too because I belive they may be making a third series.

My dad passed a Stobart wagon the other day which had a camera man in the cab with the driver.

I havn't read an official announcememnt of a new series. However, if they are it would be great!

Valenta, what has happened to your lorry?! Practically the whole thing is flashing up red in the damage box, did you drive into a wall or something?

Easiest way to get a screenshot is to press F10, where they are then stored in the 'screenshot' subfolder. I take it you accumulated the high earnings from the money cheat? So far, I have resisted that temptation. I just need £10,000 more and I can buy an A Class! :)
