    TPE Qualified Driver conditions

Don't forget that during the first 2 years, it's only 6 floating days, rising to 8 afterwards.

No, the web and social media team are in South Yorkshire.

I know someone at TPE in Sheffield, if you need to know anything.

    TransPennine South route ‘forgotten about’?

Liverpool drivers don't sign to Sheffield. Some Manchester drivers sign to Sheffield, but don't sign the diversion via Romiley (keeping route knowledge would be an issue). Manchester drivers don't sign Wakefield to Sheffield. Only sheffield drivers sign via Romiley and the full route Sheffield...

    Calling veteran freight drivers.

Spare gloves What I'd call 'bum inspection gloves' (much easier to tinker with bits with those on if having to do minor repairs). Wired earphones, in case battery ones die. Power bank Mugshot pasta thingy Spare o ring for air pipe Spare key (although only need it for a 60) Hand sanitiser Tissues...

DB Cargo - Fast Track Drivers (15/11/22)

I don't know who makes the adverts, but it says 'South Yorkshire' and then elsewhere in the advert, it says Rotherham and Doncaster!

DB Cargo - Fast Track Drivers (15/11/22)

They ordered vans for ground staff and gave them to drivers too. Not ideal.

DB Cargo - Fast Track Drivers (15/11/22)

Ground staff don't refuel locos, that's the fitters. It's in the job description for drivers, but very few actually do it. There are a few places where it might be more likely. I've never done it.

DB Cargo - Fast Track Drivers (15/11/22)

Not at all, as Carl says, it's so you can drive a van to/from ballast (engineering sites) and go and relieve other drivers. The van is a company van, kept at depots, not provided for personal use.

    DB junior Driver

It depends on location and if any 'tripping' between yards, crossing the mainline, is required. If junior driver, you do a shorter rules course (not quite full mainline rules, if no crossing mainline). If trainee driver, you're straight into mainline driving. Junior driver, as has been covered...

The Royal train and HM Queen Elizabeth II funeral plans.

Is there such a thing? DB being the Royal Train operator, to my knowledge, only have Royal 67s.

    Transpennine woes and a moan...

You sign the route, not the moves, otherwise nobody would sign anywhere.

National Rail website - station plans

The original maps were done by an external company (as has been stated), approximately 10 years ago. They were quite good at the time, but ideally need updating regularly, especially as stations are remodelled and facilities change. Common sense would say let the staff who update the site then...
