Hi Everyone,
I’ve just received my backpay, and unlike the previous posts from people claiming to have had it, I’ll actually provide some info in the hope it helps! Rather than small 1 sentence ‘I got it’ waffle.
I served with NR as a signaller from 2016 to Feb 2023. I took part in all...
I fall into that category, having left in late Feb for a drivers job.
But much like all the other rumours, I have seen or heard absolutely nothing to confirm this…?
It’s this simple guys… Regardless of what’s been previously said on here, as it stands we aren’t getting a penny or backpay.
Whether some form of mediators or the like have said you are owed it is irrelevant, being owed it and NR being forced to pay it are 2 very completely different things...
I’ve no idea who the ACAS are, but surely there’s a big difference between an entitlement and actually receiving, and it means nothing until Network Rail acknowledge and actually transfer funds
It’s starting to feel like people are simply passing on rumours now. Much like that (evidently fake) photo at the top of this page apparently ‘confirming’ a deal has been struck for ex employees to receive owed backpay for time worked, someone is starting these rumours and others are simply...
Is this official or a rumour mate? I’ve not had any letters etc?
Not sure what HMS/PSE are mate? I was a signaller, left after 6 years in Feb this year
I was with the RMT during the industrial action. I left them in February when I left the company, and switched to ASLEF for a new driver job. Surely though, as I was/we were members of a union during this IA, they should still have a vested interest in seeing us rightly receive our backpay...
I’m in the same boat, having left in February this year. Ironically and on a whim I raised this with a popular Barrister who specialises on Employment Law on ‘tiktok’ of all places. He gave a bit of a mixed answer as their doesn’t seem to be any preceden to base this on, but ultimately if we...
So much is made of the MMI and I don’t understand why. It’s an interview, nothing more nothing less, only difference being that they may (will) ask you to elaborate further into your answer.
You’re right that safety is key… Give them answers (if possible) that allow you to give detailed...
If I remember rightly, you get unlimited (within reason I suppose) attempts to practice as long as you don’t get the ball to the end on your given practice attempts. For example, get 99% of the way there, don’t cross the ‘finish line’ and then just let it go back to the start. It’s the exact...
I’ve passed the computer tests twice, having first took them in 2018 when all the tests were on 1 day (failed dots), and more recently in November when I passed. Either way they are intense mate, as I’m sure you’d expect them to be. I found it worse 2nd time around due to the added pressure of...
They give you your sheet/answers back after the computer tests mate. You get about 45m-1hr to go over your answers again or even change them if you want
