I apologise if this is obvious but I can onky find a Web page for 8 years ago pertaining to network rail notice periods.
I'm due to start with SWR on 30/09 so when would be the time to hand in notice with Network rail - I'm an operative if that has any impact.

Honestly it's good your going prepared, but please don't worry yourself too much on company knowledge - I actually don't think I was asked anything to do with the company other than, 'do you know anything about the job itself'.
I wasn't asked anything specific on the 7 skills and I revised them...
Well just called up and they said you'd have to have moved on day you start at the ROC.
incredibly bizzare that they don't give you any breathing room to be able to find somewhere suitable especially as it will be the training wage.

My current role.
Bulk of the work is fence repairs, vegetation management and draining maintenance and inspection.
We work mostly days and get a 13 week roster, couple of weeks of nights thrown in usually and a couple of weekends.
Got confirmation I'd passed the process for commercial guard about 3 weeks ago, it is for Bournemouth and I'm aware quite a few have started there recently.
Does anyone know of any upcoming courses or how long I could be waiting?
