    Thameslink/ Class 700 Progress

The DEMU Motor Coaches have now left Three Bridges and returned to St Leonards yesterday afternoon/evening. I believe 73202 is now due to come down to Three Bridges from Stewarts Lane at some point.

    Thameslink/ Class 700 Progress

The DEMU is due to return to St Leonards during Friday PM. Perhaps 73202 will come down from Stewarts Lane to Three Bridge at some point, if needs be. Yet another working that just makes 2015 so outrageous, in a good way of course! 1001 was on stand-by a couple of times during wintry...

    Thameslink/ Class 700 Progress

Hastings Diesels have a emergency dellner couplings, as used recently when used for the class 375 drag the other week. A combination of that and as already mentioned, probably a cheaper hire rate than a 66. If anyone is on the Preserved Thumpers page on facebook, a photo of the two motor...

    Youtube links and Video sites

Been a while since I've posted but here's a link to my youtube channel. Lots of vids, mainly diesels on the mainline and galas, but some steam and electric videos too. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGnKrqAuWCZqRN83whWJoKQ

    Pair of Northern 153s

I recall a pair of 153s arriving into Carlisle from the Cumbrian Coast line back in October 2013. They then split, with one going back out to Barrow. Was interesting seeing everyone (including myself) trying to squeeze into the dogbox

I am indeed, a 16-25 railcard. Excellent. Many thanks! :)

    Virgin Trains Railcard Peak Regulations

Sorry to hijack the thread but it's in relation to Virgin Trains. I am intending to travel on the 07:30 VT service from London Euston as far as Preston on a weekday. When looking at the 'Off-peak Tickets PDF' off-peak tickets are only valid from London travelling north to Preston at or after...

The East Kent Railway is proud to announce its first ‘proper’ Diesel Gala for many years to be held over the weekend of the 27th and 28th July 2013. The 2 ½ mile railway near Dover will be celebrating its industrial mining connections by running an intensive timetable using our industrial diesel...

    Tornado, 8F and Tangmere

A few steam updates from today and the weekend just gone, featuring three different steam locos on the mainline in Kent and Sussex. 60163 Tornado at Sevington, Ashford, on Saturday: http://www.flickr.com/photos/60590124@N08/5845646565/in/photostream/ 8F 48151 on 'The Cathedrals Express' at...

    Bredgar Returnees & 5 73 convoy

An update to my flickr with photos from Sunday, from the Bredgar and Wormshill Light Railway near Hollingbourne, Kent, featuring locos 'Helga' and 'Zambezi', both running together for the first time since 1973 following extensive rebuilds. And three photos, albeit mobile phone shots so not of...

    Todays Dungeness Tractors

Really miss the Thumpers on the Ashford to Hastings line! At least back then there was a better chance of getting a seat, unlike these days where a 2 car class 171 from Ashford to Hastings (and on to Brighton) just isn't enough!

    Todays Dungeness Tractors

Cheers for the comments guys. The flask train really is a train that can photographed easily and more than once due to max speed of the line being 20mph, and 5mph over crossings as already mentioned. As can be seen from the photos I caught it 4 times! The line itself is a little bit of a bore...
