    What's the difference in Class 350 sub-classes?

350/4s have a 'speedset' function too.

    Class 185 refurbishment for TPE.

Yep. Suppose it encourages consistency and avoids the 'well they let me last week / I've done it before' arguments. Not sure anyone buys a ticket on TPE services for their bike, it's for the person - you'd be entitled to travel, your bike wouldn't if you hadn't met the published reservation...

Northern rolling stock changes post electrification

There's only drivers at Piccadilly and Victoria off that list - it's taxis or pass rides to and from depots/ standing points.

Is it a mistake for FTPE to order the 397 / 802 / MK5 trains?

The image shown in Rail is a TPE-issued image supplied by the designers of the train. How much more official would you like??

Class 350 Desiro door control question

Nope. 185s only have one saloon GOP on each side, diagonally-opposed in the centre (53) car. No door controls in the end vehicles other than in cabs.

TPE Mark 5A coaching stock progress

No. The point of loco hauled in this case is as stated above, speed of build. They will be semi-permanently coupled by bar couplings between vehicles (conventional screw couplings to loco only), and any expansion will be additional trailers inserted. There will always be an end vehicle to the...

    Northern Class 185 Diagrams

350401 with smashed windscreen, was dumped at the Airport for later tripping back to Ardwick - driver pass to Piccadilly to pick up 125 to form 1S83.

    Northern Class 185 Diagrams

It'll still only be 156s on the Blackpool - Airport services for now - the ex-TPE crews working them don't sign any other 14x or 15x traction.

    Manchester - Liverpool Electrification

The initial plan for Eccles section testing was Mentor followed by 92 and 390. However following issues found on initial inspections causing abandonment of that plan, the NR press release confirms that the 1st test train to actually take power was 350401, ECS overnight both ways, just a few days...

    Manchester - Liverpool Electrification

Would that be the short section at 20mph containing a neutral section (which has zero performance impact) between Golborne and Parkside then?

    Northern and TPE Consultation Document

There's no way any accurate bids could be made without a concrete date for electrification, so if the MR article is correct it just means bid on assuming (for figures) keeping the current fleet, and if / when electrification happens this will have to bw negotiated separately (e.g. as with the...
