    Scotrail Guards Dispute

I don’t think anyone could explain that adequately for you to be honest. All I can say is that in my opinion a service with a fully trained and safety critical Conductor operating it is safer than one without. Not just for door operation either, I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had...

    Scotrail Guards Dispute

Strikes called off, Conductors will continue to operate doors and carry out despatch duties on Barrhead and EK services.

    Scotrail Trainee Drivers (Ongoing)

What tests did you do and what were they like? Did you also do your MMI? I’m pretty sure there’s loads on this forum about the DMI if you search for it. Best of luck.

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

All staff have NOT been offered the same deal, the conditions attached vary from union to union to as such. The majority of productivity and efficiency savings are aimed at RMT members and Conductors in particular.

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

Scotrail are now saying if non union staff break the strike and work through COP26 they will receive the £300 payment AND the pay rise. Paying 2 people different salary’s for doing exactly the same job doesn’t seem right. Not sure of the legality either.

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

I more or less agree on both points but why should Conductors agree a deal that is inferior to other grades?

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

He fails to mention the changes to T’s & C’s that will affect Conductors far more than any other grade and potentially change their role completely.

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

The problem as far as I can see the condition regarding Revenue Protection. This is far too vague and could potentially completely change the role of Conductors. I think what’s on offer is better for other grades than it is for Conductors. I reckon if the part about Revenue Protection was...

ScotRail Industrial Relations issues (including conductor strike action)

It’s a terrible ‘offer’. The conditions attached are unbelievable and were never going to be acceptable to staff particularly Guards. It’s been said it’s like Scotrail are trying to completely change the role of the Guard and are doing it on the cheap. I don’t disagree.
