Could anyone clarify this for me - so if you’re in the talent pool for a trainee conductor role at Manchester or Wigan would these roles have been offered to you prior to advertisement... or are they released and then you’re competing against the interview/assessment scores of the new...

reckon they'll still be in mate, I was told there's another course for Leeds in March. Keeping fingers crossed for that but I think that will be advertised again... So then your competing against fellow talent poolers and new applicants?

Hi waytogo no not yet. There were two places on a Jan course for Leeds both allocated. I recieved an email yesterday about trainee conductor posts for Wigan and Manchester - would these have been taken from the talent pool for those areas first or just go external, still confused about the workings!

Could you not call in your lunch hour, visit a local library or Internet Cafe at lunch perhaps... Maybe take the afternoon or the morning off? I don't know the details of your current job but if you really want this find a way around it. I had to take two days off at the drop of a hat for...

Yeah my email mentioned I haven't been allocated a place on the Jan course. Sitting tight a lot more comfortable now but still have itchy feet! Thanks

I passed my assessment thanks to all for help and advice. I've joined many of you in the talent pool another long wait but I'm a believer in the Guinness slogan :)
