I haven't read the Times piece but it should be obvious to anyone with half a brain why car parking isn't being provided here.
Both Cambridge North and Cambridge stations have significant car parks for those that need them. Whittlesford and Royston have car parks for those living in rural...
The OP’s original screenshot shows a travelcard option for £13.95 so that would be marginally cheaper plus offer full flexibility to return via any route.
Thanks. Explains why I can’t see any trains to Horsham on Sunday evening using the National Rail journey planner. Madness. RTT shows the 21:05 off Victoria is booked 6 minutes at Horsham to change direction yet people will end up making a convoluted journey by bus or not travelling at all.
Admittedly still niche, but it’s not just Foxton to Shelford, I’ve often changed for Shelford at Cambridge from Kings Cross or even Sussex (Thameslink). The connections at Cambridge can be quite tight but Cambridge South will make this much easier.
Pewsey to Great Bedwyn any time after 07:20. Did it a couple of years ago on a loaded touring bike in 45 minutes after our up train was cancelled due to an incident further west. Arrived just in time to catch a Bedwyn starter.
There's a whole sub forum for this:-

Hopefully that link works, if not just look for it.
Good luck.
Erm, but no one ever needed to sign up to Oyster. One could just pick up a card in a newsagents and load it with funds. I'm so with Dave1987 here, whilst I don't mind TfL knowing my spending habits (I have a registered auto top up Oyster card and occasionally use contactless) I'm less keen on...
You'd perhaps be better off posting this under "Railway jobs and careers" I've not looked there recently, but in the past there have been many similar questions (and helpful responses).
Good luck.
Sorry, was just an assumption, looking at the very inhospitable high level bridge with virtually no provision for pedestrians.
You're quite right, there does appear to be no restriction (looking at the entrance to the road at the previous junctions on streetview).
Looks like a horrible...
I don't know the area, but I've wondered this before as the crossing is fairly unique. I can't spot any vantage points from looking at maps etc. It's even worse, the A46 road bridge looks a pretty inhospitable/ impossible place to stand on streetview...
I always believed bikes weren't allowed through the Thameslink core, but this restriction must've been lifted as it is not mentioned on the operator's website.

As for St Pancras usual access is by escalator, but as the station is a...
