WYIS are reporting that in April East Yorkshire (Pocklington depot) are to take on the 22/23 York-Ripon-Knaresborough, 181 (Castleline) York-Castle Howard-Malton and 194 Malton-Hoveringham from Transdev
There’s speculation going around a few TPE depots that the 19x 5 car 802s are off to LNER next year. Hitachi have allegedly told LNER they are getting them.
Apparently 19x 5 car 222s will be used to replace them until the route is electrified giving TPE time to order trains to replace the 185s...
According to rumors at York depot from the May timetable change the 68s will be allocated to the Saltburn to Manchester Airport services as TPE plan to use more in service.
Scarborough’s will be then operated by 185.
I’ve heard on the grapevine that First York have plans for service enhancements next year such as service 1 to every 10mins, Service 6 to every 12mins.
Just wondering if anyone has any confirmation of the above or is it just another rumour?
I’m just hoping in Yorkshire Northern put the Sheffield to Doncaster stopper back to Half Hourly along with reinstating the Sheffield to York service
Also fingers crossed XC reintroduce their hourly Newcastle to Reading service via Doncaster
Just a shame the Sheffield to Doncaster via Rotherham service isn’t going back to its 30mins frequency services are often full and standing.
Nice to see the return of the Lincoln service to Leeds via Barnsley and Wakefield Kirkgate hopefully this will relieve a bit of pressure off the Nottingham...
Sorry if this is in the wrong thread just wondering does anyone have any update regarding TPE extending the stopping service to Wakefield Kirkgate please?
I notice a minor uplift in services between York and Sheffield is a big positive.
I’m just wondering if anyone will be able to tell me what Northern Changes are planned for Doncaster?
