    wrong railcard used by mistake

It is really desperately disappointing that three separate rounds of appeals have failed to engage with the fact that a penalty fare cannot be issued to someone who is not on a train or just alighted from one. Presenting an invalid ticket at a gateline on the way in cannot result in a Penalty...

instructing a solicitor as soon as a report for prosecution received?

Well I suppose one might say that if someone has not paid for the service they are not a customer

Should Out of Court Settlements Use the Full Fare or Difference in Fares

Does not relate to an appeal, and arises from the improper actions of railway prosecutors, not magistrates. Relates to a civil case which never involved a magistrate. Relates to public nuisance, an indictable-only offence which was tried by a circuit judge. So I'm afraid you're zero for three...

Should Out of Court Settlements Use the Full Fare or Difference in Fares

A Penalty Fare is £100 plus the full single fare for the journey in question. So if the journey in question cost £50, the Penalty Fare would be £150, reducing to £100 for prompt payment.

Should Out of Court Settlements Use the Full Fare or Difference in Fares

Indeed. The amount used is £120 for this purpose. Can you cite some of these cases and explain how you have inferred they have "raised concern among the Judiciary", please? That's quite a serious accusation.

End of the line for Paris’ iconic metro ticket

    I would agree with this.

Fare evasion does not reach the threshold to be refused entry to the USA.

Expired railcard prosecution from 1+ year ago.

Yes, although claims for journeys in 2018 are out of time.

Summons to Magistrates - Overdistance Avoidance

Just to note that if you plead guilty you will have to pay a fine, most likely coming to just under a week's earnings, as well as being charged the £150 costs and £25 compensation. A conviction would give you a criminal record for one year. I agree with other posters who recommend getting in...

    Intention to prosecute.

I think they probably just didn't associate the submission you made with your file, probably because you sent it so quickly. I don't see a need to send a lengthy submission, merely a further copy of the Railcard, a copy of the email proof that you submitted it in time, and a request for...

Legality of Train Operators fishing travel history with other retailers

I agree with your recollection. Trainline's privacy policy adequately covers the matter. I cannot say for other retailers.

    TfL staff nominee pass question

But there aren't. All of Avanti and Caledonian Sleeper's stops at Watford Junction are pick up only northbound and drop off only southbound.

    Two Together with staff travel

Indeed. The only way that a Two Together Railcard can be used with only one discounted ticket is where the other cardholder is making the same journey and holds an annual season ticket covering that journey.

    Inconsistent travel journeys

If this proceeds to court, I presume you will be able to call as a witness the person who gives you lifts and they will testify under oath and penalty of perjury that they take you in their car on that journey regularly? I presume the records will show that the tickets have been scanned to...

    I have used fathers 60+

You are correct – emphasis to be placed on the word should – if just a single offence is dealt with. If the defendant wishes to have other offences taken into consideration when pleading guilty, that might bump the costs up a tad.
