I'm currently a very secure job and a little worried about all of the news lately about Northern not being offered a new contract and...

I was accepted for the conductor role at Northern - Newcastle on May 8th. I've been told the next step is a medical and a course placement but haven't heard anything back since then.
Has anyone else passed at Newcastle lately and how long did the process take?

I currently have an open application for the conductor role. I'm working as a Police Officer which is a very stable job with pretty much 0% chance of being made redundant (cuts in the Police come from not replacing outgoing officers rather than redundancies).
